I just needed to come here and show off my pretty little gluten-free Pumpkin Praline pie. I used a Whole Foods brand frozen gluten-free pie crust, and it turned out soooooo good! I cut a slice out of it right after I took this pic (I didn't want to serve something that was gross). OMG..it's better than regular crusts that sometimes get soggy on the bottom!!

I am making the ENTIRE Thanksgiving dinner this year so I don't have to worry about cc. I am making gluten-free stuffing that I think is going to be really good, as well as homemade gluten-free mac-n-cheese. I am excited to see how my family likes all of the gluten-free foods. It will also be interesting to see if anybody feels less gassy and bloated after they eat THIS Thanksgiving meal! ;)

Happy gluten-free Thanksgiving everybody! :)

Yum! I think pies are excellent gluten-free food. Crusts are flexible and lots of options.

I live pecan pie...makes me want one.

Looks delicious! I like pecan pie with the light corn syrup, but have never made one. Congrats for making one :)

      Thank you this really helped.

Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong.   yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

One doctor suggested it, but then seemed irritated when I asked follow-up questions. Oh well—

@GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

Thanks to both of you for your responses!  Sadly, even after several years of very strict gluten avoidance, I remember the symptoms well enough that I am too frightened to risk a gluten challenge— heartbeat and breathing problems are scary— Scott, thank you for the specific information— I will call around in the new year to see if I can find anyone. In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
