Poop/fiber/regularity

Can I request five or six of you to send me a menu of what you ate every day for the last two or three days? I am one of those that might poop once or twice a week. I feel I am eating more nutritionally, but thought if I got some menus from you guys I could see if I am way off or what.

Thank you in advance.

Jen,

I take Proactazyme Plus from Nature's Sunshine with my meals. I also take liquid Iron and Liquid B vitamins as well. Finally, I too drink lots of water each day.

Best of Luck & Happy Labor Day!

Are you dairy free? I know from experience that dairy can cause constipation.

I am lactose intolerant, although I drink a lactose free milk and I eat a lot of plain yogurt and some yoplait yogurt.

Do you think I should quit that for awhile and see what happens?

I think it might be a good idea to try dairy free for a while. After all, otherwise you won't know if it's that.

I used to think I was "only" lactose intolerant. Then I cut out all dairy for a while, and felt much better! I'm not as worried about hidden dairy as with gluten though, just not eating anything obvious like yoghurt or drinking milk.

      Thank you this really helped.

Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong.   yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.
    • GlorietaKaro
One doctor suggested it, but then seemed irritated when I asked follow-up questions. Oh well—

@GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.
    • GlorietaKaro
Thanks to both of you for your responses!  Sadly, even after several years of very strict gluten avoidance, I remember the symptoms well enough that I am too frightened to risk a gluten challenge— heartbeat and breathing problems are scary— Scott, thank you for the specific information— I will call around in the new year to see if I can find anyone. In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
