  1. Watch out for whiskey (and Scotch) because they are derived from gluten containing grains like barley or wheat...i can't remember which one though
  2. Hhmmmm...codeine gives me a very bad headache, they gave it to me about 8 years back when i had my wisdom teeth taken out and i actually felt less pain after i stopped using it for the pain (how ironic is that!). So, ever since that experience i stay far far away from it.
  3. Wow...that baking soda thing sounds pretty interesting! Thanks for the advice...and the pun intended
  4. Glad to hear you were able to eventually get out to walk the dog
  5. LOL...that's too funny because that's why i make it! Oh yeah, bye the way, you can also disguise ground turkey for ground beef in lots of other dishes too. For example i use it in tacos, enchiladas, stuffed peppers, meat sauce for pasta, meatloaf and meatballs (he may catch on to those ones though ), goulash, hambuger helper, etc... pretty...
  6. You totally have the signs!! Just please remember that even if he does do the blood test there is a very very high chance it will come back negative...but you actually need to try the diet to see...you sound exactly like me, and trust me if you read over everyone's test results under their names (when they're posting) you will see this is sooooo common of...
  7. I'm so glad to hear this because i was eating a salad with this dressing (which happens to be my fav) the other day, when i turned the bottle around to notice that it stated that it was made in a wheat producing facility...so i stopped eating it because it kind of startled me. Oh well...guess i'll give it another shot and see if anything happens
  8. I went through this too...and then i found out all dairy (not just because of the casein but the lactose) bothers me...i would definitely consider starting with eliminating all dairy...then maybe you can try soy after that if they're still bothersome, then maybe the sugar or nuts, etc... But i would definitely try to eliminate the dairy first!
  9. I wish i knew i was glutent intolerant ten years ago when i was 18...now i'm 28 and it's done some damage to me...but i'm a superstar so i'm sure i'll pull through, especially with meeting new people here.
  10. Age 28, diagnosed 2 months ago, gluten free for almost the past 2 months.
  11. Oh, and yes, the low carb diet would sound somewhat right since eliminating carbs means eliminating lots of gluten! (less gluten=less diarrhea)
  12. Wow, thanks alot for her website
  13. Glad to know this since i just used in on top of my turkey chili!
  14. WOW, this sounds awesome...i must give it a try
  15. Sweet Potato Casserole....YUMMO!! You peel and boil 4-6 large sweet potatoes until tender. Drain water and add two teaspoons of cinnamon, 1/2 stick butter (or soy butter, vegan butter, etc..), and 1/4 cup brown suger. Blend all ingredients together, place in a baking dish, and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle mini marshmallows over the top...

  17. I make homemade sweet potatoe casserole every year and i'm still going to be able to make it this year because it's completely gluten-free (and even df if you wanted which is the way i'll be making it this year). Sweet Potatoe Casserole You peel and boil 4-6 large sweet potatoes until tender. Drain water and add two teaspoons of cinnamon, 1/2 stick...

  21. Wow, you sound very similar to me with your sympstons. What kind of chips were you eating that were gluten-free but contaminated? And, have you found any positive signs to being yeast free? (oh yes, and did the D get alot better over the six month mark?)
  22. Can someone give me a really good gluten-free & DF stuffing recipe?...that's one thing i don't have.
  23. OH YES, barley, rye, and sometimes oats...buy only "gluten free" products...gluten is the protein found in wheat, barley, oats and rye. Just like casein is the protein found in dairy.
  24. Mmmmmmmm sound good!!
