  1. I picked some of theses up today because I am craving crackers but I noticed they are made in the UK so I'm wondering if they are TRULY gluten-free (there's no gluten on the ingredients) or codex gluten-free (under 200 ppm). It's GlutAno, not Glutino. If that makes a difference
  2. That's so funny! I picked the Botox injections. I went back and did my second choices (some of them were really hard to choose!) I came out Dreamer Escape Artist (this is SO clearly me!) high time roller (is this trying to tell me something ) And love bug. patti- New wave Puritan???????????? I want the bedroom I picked! The sleigh...
  3. Hi Nikki! I was mood- Sophisticat Fun- Escape Artist (definitely true!) Habits- High time roller (must have been cuz I clicked on the martini Love- Love Bug! That one was on too. (I liked the sniggly older couple)
  4. It's worth a look-see because the images themselves are so beautiful. Be sure to post your results! Open Original Shared Link
  5. gfp- you definitely know more about this than the average person and I know you said size doesn't matter (of the molecules! ) but one of the lines that caught my attention is the one that said if the alcohol is "PROPERLY" distilled. Maybe that's the problem? Don't know, but still won't drink anything distilled from grain! Until I get a LCMS! Wish you...

    ARCHIVED Dyslexia?

Wow Deb- that's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think there is still so much that we and doctors don't know about the neuro effects of celiac. Barb- that's so great about your daughter too! See- it really does make a difference!
  7. Wow- I didn't know you needed insurance for a message board. Scary- but we are a very litigious society and there are advertisers that keep this board afloat. also, that was my worry- that anyone could google "cure celiac" and see that. I tried to point out that he cured his candida, but as Momma Goose says, let us press on to greater knowledge.
  8. Told her to scream- it's my 3 year old niece Olivia and we have screaming contests (yeah- my sister LOVES that!). She has the highest pitch, most piercing scream I have EVER heard. When she was about a year and a half my dad and I took her to Ben and Jerry's and she got mad at her ice cream because it was too hard to eat so she let out this blood-curdling...

    ARCHIVED Dyslexia?

It IS possible that you have dyslexia but I taught students with dyslexia for two years and one of the most common misconceptions is that it's all about reversing numbers and letters, but it's much more complex than that (well- it can be). The same thing (with numbers) started happening to me and I'm pretty sure it's brain fog. But if it's bothering you...
  11. I've been accused of the same thing! Jestgar needs to put us through moderator boot camp!
  12. I DO react to grain based vodka so I stick with Smirnoff (corn) and Chopin (potato) when I'm feeling rich. I do notice that I don't feel so "wuggy" the next day with Chopin even if I over-indulge a bit. Vodka can give you D (I'm sure any alcohol can) but when I first went gluten-free I was told no alcohol for 6 months.
  13. I had them done in my neck and shoulders back in December...definitely worked! It doesn't hurt too much...more like a sting. Hope they help you sweetie!
  14. The grief definitely waxes and wanes because so much of our culture and social activities (as in many cultures) revolve around food. It IS hard but it does get better. A lot of times rather than go out we have people over and I cook which is fun. Tthere are times when I get frustrated too- it's normal.
  15. That is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Now I'm all curious-= have stomach flu and I'm bored (and hopping mad since I had to cancel a father/daughter trip). Steve- you're a good man.
  17. I noticed that when I was looking at the Alterna products. What line did you switch to?
  18. Thanks for all the info everyone!
  19. I used to get horribly hypoglycemic. Now I only get it while recovering from a glutening!
  20. The other option is to go in WITH your hubby, explain the situation (how sick it makes you and that you won't be able to work) and tell him to do the gene test (my Gi did this through Prometheus and insurance paid for it). A gene and positive dietary response= a diagnosis. Or, if you know gluten makes you sick, just stay gluten-free. I knew going into...
  21. Just wanted to relate my experience. I tested weakly positive and had to wait 2 months for a GI appointment so I went gluten-free right away. Of course, my biopsy came back negative even after a short time (6 weeks) being gluten free and then doing a 10 day gluten intake. the doctor only took one biopsy and you need many more. Even then, they are not 100...
  22. Just read it- FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. al Fresco sausages say gluten free right on the label...they are my favorite! Open Original Shared Link
  24. It had better! We can only rely on chicken jokes so long!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is SOOOOOO funny!
  25. They actually didn't say what kind of anemia- I didn't realize there were different types. thanks for the info. I was looking over my labs and it looks like B12 and iron.
