Lynne -- I downloaded and tried that Clan Thompson Smart List demo thing and wow! I seriously need to get the real thing. I think I will here anytime soon... yeah I'm not worried about family. they're family. whether or not they believe me doesn't matter, they still love me. I already know none of them believe how sick I really am -- but, when they see... -
ARCHIVED Anyone Get Worse As The Day Goes On?
Kody replied to Terch's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I pretty much feel the same all day, headaches and all... until later on at night is when I feel my best, tired and can't sleep, but able to focus. Hence the reason that I do all my homework late at night. -

Queen Serenity- what you said is true. I'm not concerned or anything... it was just a thought. =p I was just thinking that it's going to be a lot different with this new diet of mine. Also, I told my manager that i won't be making any pizza anymore. He didn't like it very much, but he'll live. It's not like I ever made pizza anyways... I'm a driver,... -
lol, I get stuck at the HS question too. I never know which one to use. Usually, I just tell them Snow Canyon High, the school I graduated from. Your spelling and grammar seems fine to me =p and yes I am aware that there is a spell-check

ARCHIVED Hi Guys, Newly Diagnosed And A Few Questions
Kody replied to Kody's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
yeah, I've read most of that already, I even read several personal stories to see if I could relate -- and I definitely could. The one thing I'm not sure about tho, is how bad is Celiac considered to be? Like, is it up there with cancer and stuff? Prolly now lol... but I mean its pretty bad it seems, like, I know I'm a mess but every vitamin deficiency you... -

Sweet, I'll see if I can find a local Celiac group around here... Leave her wanting more... that might be a good thing, lawl... I think it would show that she cares if she went gluten-free as well. That would mean a lot to me. My dates are going to get interesting... -
Airline company huh... I'm training for my Pilot Private license right now... fun stuff. And yeah, it really doesn't count =p And no, I was born in SLC but never lived there, grew up in Las Vegas and Arizona mainly... although I did spend 2nd and 5th grade in St. George. I've moved a lot, I went to over 18 schools from k-12 grades. Crazy. I know...

hahah, it's all great advice too. And yeah, I totally see what you're saying, good idea... start out small, then more details when they're interested. I've noticed that a lot of people refuse to believe that certain foods can be poisonous to some of us. Oh well, too bad for them and their ignorance. Speaking of dating advice -- would a girl find it... -
didn't going gluten-free fix all of that? because if it doesn't, well, that sucks. Or more precisely, that stinks.

Ah I see... eww. Well, I get D sometimes but mainly its C. This is embarrasing to talk about, but I don't think I complete #2 when I go... therefore have to use lots of paper towel. That would be part of C right? Anyways, its all screwed up

Kody replied to Kody's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Well, I hardly ever make pizza. If I get bored and am waiting for a run, I 'might' help make pizza. But yeah... I'm not making pizza anymore. Is it seriously bad if I deliver pizza? I'm gone most of the time anyways. I can't eat gluten... but does it getting on my skin make me sick? I don't know. I really like this job. If I go to a regular $7 an hour... -
I've been told over and over how great this Colason stuff is (my Mom, some aunts, etc etc...) It's like white powder that you put into water and drink. That's assuming you get the powdered version. It cleans out your colason really well and makes you use the bathroom a lot. Anyways, today is my second day taking it and I already feel so much better... maybe...

I want one of those bracelets. I think it would be fabulous to represent and embrace who I am. I'm a Celiac, so what? Does anyone know where I can order one?

Kody replied to Kody's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
yeah I thought about that... but I figured as long as I don't eat any of it, I'll be fine. Am I right? I really don't want to change jobs. I make decent money here (60-90 every night in tips, and $5 an hour to go with it). As a College student I can't make that anywhere else Maybe I'll just stop helping make pizza. That way the only thing I ever have... -
Two years ago when I started visiting doctors nonstop, I even went as far as to get tested for sleep apnea. I had no other explanation for how tired I always was. Well... I was tested negative, no sleep apnea. Only one small apnea all night... but the doctor did say it is something that will likely develop, in like, 20 years or something. Hope...

Thanks Carla. You have no idea (okay maybe you do) how much it helps knowing that I'm not the only one that has to go through this. Sick as a dog my whole life for no apparent reason. Can focus somedays and can't other days. Never know how I'm going to feel. No one acknowledging how sick you really are. Not telling people anymore, just living with it. Knowing... -

Kody replied to linds's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I'm in the same situation as linds... but uhm, I was going to ask, does the online shopping really work that well for food? I mean like... is the food fresh? does it ship decently fast? I suppose I'll try it out.
