  1. I have been off of gluten for a couple of weeks. Yesterday I ate some leftover Halloween candy that I thought was gluten free. Well, it wasn't and I'm still paying for it. The candy doesn't appeal to me anymore since it makes me sick. I used to think I had to have it. No more. Pain is not something I enjoy.
  2. Since my DH and I went gluten free 2 weeks ago I have made quite a few things with gluten free flours. I love trying the different kinds of flours. So far, sweet sorghum is my favorite.   3. My dog is allergic to wheat. I discovered that a lot of dog biscuits have wheat in them. She is on a food that doesn't have wheat and I found some biscuits that don't have it either. If someone is really sensitive I guess just handling the dog food or biscuits could cause a reaction. I never thought of that.
  4. Would it be acceptable to buy something from a bakery and take it to the funeral? Of course you wouldn't have to go into a bakery you could get something from the grocery store.
  5. That's a great idea! I never thought of it that way. I'll keep that in mind if I come across someone who is pushy. So far most people have not tried to push anything on me. But, Thanksgiving is coming. I'm working on a plan for dealing with it.
  6. I just joined today. I have been reading and learning here for several weeks. I have never been diagnosed with celiac or gluten intolerant. The main reason is because I can't afford insurance and the price for the tests would have to come out of pocket and my pocket doesn't hold much.
