Yeah, I even knew it was going to happen for a few weeks now (I read a lot of spoilers!), and I was still "ugh-ed" out. I just don't think their friendship had that level to it--ever. At least it looks like it was just a drunken hookup and not more than a one time thing.
I hate that we have to wait another two weeks for a new show, too!
I had read the spoilers too, but was hoping they were wrong! ha
Two weeks is too long to wait until another episode. What is up with all of the waiting?!?!!

I have gotten them at wal-mart before. They are clearly labeled gluten-free for the ones that are

George and Izzy doing the McNasty?!?!?!!

a little too similar.. I also picked georgetown to advance to the final game... identical final 4 actually
I feel it's only fair to let you know that I don't think I've picked the winner in years... I was much better at this when I was a kid (I picked the winner 7 straight years until AZ won)... so you can blame me if your final 4 teams start getting upset
This is the 1st bracket I've ever filled out. A friend invited me to a pool on facebook, so I did it
But I'll blame you for any losses anyways

I'm a big march madness fan... I like the NFL over college hoops but this is the best sports weekend of the year in my opinion..
and I actually picked kansas to win it all this year in my bracket... I've never really liked kansas or kentucky (call it that east coast bias) but kansas is playing great ball recently, played in an underrated big 12 that has 3 of the 7 teams I think are capable of winning it all... they're also playing great defense, have experienced players and all 5 guys in their starting lineup are capable of putting up double digit points... I know they got upset the first round the past 2 years but AZ was knocked off first round as high seeds left and right in the mid 90s before winning it all with bibby and co.
my final 4's got kansas, florida, georgetown, and texas a&m... gonna be tough for georgetown to come out of their bracket with UNC and Texas but they shouldn't really be challenged until the elite 8... my big upset teams are notre dame and gonzaga going to the elite 8... though I could easily see ND going down to winthrop the first round
On my bracket.......final 4 are:
Kansas
Florida
Georgetown
Texas A&M
picked Kansas and georgetown for the final two.....and kansas to win (of course!!)
Looks like we have pretty similar brackets!!

Who do you think is going to win?
I am a Jayhawks fan........so I am rooting for my Hawks!!!
Jayhawk Prayer
Our Father, who art in Lawrence,
Hallowed be thy Game.
Thy tourney come,
Thy championship will be done, In Atlanta as it is in Allen Field House.
Give us this day our deserved victories.
And forgive us our turnovers,
As we forgive Roy who double-crossed against us.
And lead us not into defeat,
But deliver us from East Coast bias,
For Kansas is the basketball kingdom,
And the tradition,
And the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.

I am not here to flame anyone, so dont worry about that.
I am here to get advice and suggestions and thoughts.
I am here to play nice.
I totally understand how this is and should be a touchy subject for all of you, and i am certainly in no way going to try and make it seem as though i dont care or that i dont want to help.
I certainly did not mean to come across as rude in any previous post, nor do i want to in any future posts here. :-)
I am sure lots of you have had issues with schools and preschools, etc, be it on celiacs or another issue. It is inevitable.
I am so glad I came here b/c i have learned more in the past several hours visiting this board than i have in the past several months from mom.
i am not here to flame mom, but i would like to explain to you all what frustrates me as the teacher in this situation so that you can understand my point of view and so that maybe it will help you in your dealings with teachers, etc.
I have been provided with nothing in writing from the mom or any doctors.
Any and all printed forms or information I have on gluten or celiacs are things I have took the time to find and print.
Mom told me yesterday that she wishes we (my staff and I) would just get it and never have to ask another stupid question again.
Again, i get it that she is totally stressed out and worried. I can only begin to imagine what it is like for a mom of a celiac.
However it does hurt me and frustrate me that she would get mad for me asking a question. i tried to explain to her that i am only human (as is everyone) and that yes, i may ask a question that to her seems so simple but to me it is a real question, and that i am liable to ask the same question again in a few weeks. Not b/c i dont care or i dont listen, but b/c it is alot to remember.
i do not mind at all coming to this board, or doing any research on celiacs or any other issue or need that a student might have. I enjoy it actually, and it will only help me to help them and others in the future. i do wish that she would supply me with what she finds when she is researching or visiting the doctors too. when she first told me of the diagnosis, i was online like crazy searching for sites with information and stores where she could find the proper foods. i was emailing her at least once a day with links to my findings. never once did she reply to me or share anything she might have found. that frustrates me b/c i am trying and willing to work together on this and there are times i feel like i am not getting any help, only accusations.
coming here was the first i have ever heard of the soaps and paints and play doh and anything other than food being glutened, or the chance of a celiac being gluten by touching something, not actually eating a plate of it.
the mom did tell me yesterday that if her child is glutened, the reaction will last for 6 months!
now please dont let me offend any of you, i am just stating my situation and trying to explain where i am coming from.
this child also has an epi pen in her diaper bag, as she is allergic to milk, diary, turkey, and peanuts.
i do my very best to train and educate my staff on this any all of our students food alergy issues.
mom said that her doctor has offered to have a meeting with the mom, dad, and grandparents on celiacs and asked if i would come. i was so excited, i told her heck yes i will be there, my entire staff will be there and i will even host the meeting at my school so we can have enough room for everyone.
thank you all for talking with me and helping me to learn more. i do really appreciate it.
Just wanted to give you a pat on the back for being such a great teacher!! (coming from a fellow early childhood teacher and celiac) You are doing a GREAT job with your student! Please do not let the comments of others on the board discourage you. I do not feel that you are being rude or flippant in your comments. You are going above and beyond your duties!! Way to go!
Discount school supply has the gluten free playdough. It is colorations brand. Open Original Shared Link It looks like the cost is $19.97
Keep up the great work and please come back often with your questions

So my cousin is gluten intolerant, and her birthday is comming up next month. I wanted to surprise her and make her either a gluten free cake or brownies (I have seen the gluten free mixes at the store, so im not too concerned with that)-- i am concerned about the toppers for either. I wanted to either spell out "happy birthday" and her name-- in either icing or those little candies that are in the shapes of letters that are meant to top cakes-- Does anybody know if these products are gluten free? If not, does anyone have any gluten free cake/brownie decorating ideas for me?
Any help would be greatly appreciate
Wilton is VERY good about letting you know what has gluten in it. Figure out what you would like to use, and call Wilton. They are GREAT about disclosing information.

I read that article today also. I thought that it was poorly written and researched for such a large magazine. Pretty sad that the author HAS celiac.......doesn't even know the damage she is causing herself by picking the breading off and such. Geesh!!! Just makes more work for those folks like us to re-educate the people who read bad articles like that!!

I eat at Sonic regularly and have never had any problems.
I've eaten the chicken salad, cheese tots, fries, burgers w/ no bun, and coneys with no bread or chili. But... maybe it's just me!
Just wanted to point out that just because you have not had any physical symptoms does not mean that you are not causing damage to your intestines.
Have you called corporate to make sure these items are safe? If not, then please do not recommend that people eat them. It is terribly risky to judge if things are gluten free by eating and waiting for symptoms to appear.
Just my 2 cents.

Velveeta and Easy Cheese (cheese in the can) are both KRAFT products. Kraft will clearly list any gluten containing ingredients on the label. So you can feel safe reading the label to check for gluten
I just had some easy cheese last week (with the blue lid) and it was quite tasty and gluten free
Velveeta is also gluten free and sooooo tasty mixed with some rotel and toritilla chips to dip!!
Enjoy!

I like their fish sticks. I wasn't terribly impressed with the chicken nuggets. I haven't tried the corn dogs (can't find anywhere that carries them around here).
They are good about sending out coupons if you call them. It might be worth it to call and get a coupon and try them at a reduced price

I tried these a while back (forgot to post). They were really good. Poured the shrimp over some pasta. Tasty!! Good meal for when you don't really feel like cooking.

Make some gluten free pantry chocolate truffle brownies, e-mail her back and say you already have the brownies covered. Tell her not to worry about bringing anything. Or don't give her the option to "choose" what to bring.......say Please bring ________(veggie tray, lays chips). Don't give her choices that will end up driving you nuts!
Make it easier on yourself.
Happy Birthday and stop crying!! Nobody should do that on their b-day
