ARCHIVED Rotisserie Chickens From Supermarkets
angel-jd1 replied to Franceen's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I have never been able to be brave enough to even try the store bought rotisserie chickens. I watch how they are cooked and it screams cross contamination to me! They stick 8-10 chickens in a huge rotisserie, some may be plain, lemon pepper, garlic etc and they are ALL in the same thing cooking and spinning and dripping on each other! If one of those flavors... -

I am in a wedding this Saturday. The bride is a good friend of mine. She has been going out of her way to be sure that I will have "safe" food to eat at rehearsal and the reception. (I know, a great friend huh!!). She was especially freaking out about the cake, so I told her I would just bake one. I have a wonderful recipe that Annalise Roberts created for...

ARCHIVED Burping And Belching
angel-jd1 replied to Kaycee's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Burping and belching can be a sign of a gallbladder that needs to come out, it can also be a sign of diverticulitis. I'm sure it's a sign of a million other things too, I can't recall ever burping alot after getting glutened though. -Jessica -

I know of one lady who had a toddler. She would label each safe piece of food with a stickey label. She might have a fruit leather and it would have a sticker on it that said "Gabby's Snacks". Her little girl knew that if it had this sticker, then it was safe and it was hers to eat. A system like this would be helpful if you ever had to go somewhere...
