Mine actually show up before the D, but dry mouth shows up first, so I imediately know to quit eating what ever. I think I'm fortunate in this that I can spot right off when somethings not right and prevent myself from eating more than a tiny amount. I think it is different with everyone, which makes the disease so hard to predict. For the very persistant...

We used to put our little piglets under a heat lamp, they tend to try and eat the blankets Congratulations on the experiment. Isn't it super when things actually work the first time! -

ARCHIVED How Do I Politely Tell My Grandma That She's Been Making Me Goodies W/ Gluten?
Viola 1 replied to Sweetfudge's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
The Canadian Celiac Ass. has an excellent one. I have mine laminated so it doesn't get spots when it goes back to the kitchen in a restaurant. It also fits nicely in my pocket or purse. You can also print some off of some web sites. Actually I think there are several including the Kinnikinnick site. At least they used to have one -

Me too, but they don't deliver this far out Anyway, we will go into Nelson sometime in the next week or two and then I will have some I haven't been off the property since the 18th ... it's time to go out and do something.

Wow, for triple pay, i would work too! Good for you .... Hope it's not a hard day though We go out a fair amount. There is a Chinese restaurant in Nelson that makes gluten free Chinese food, including chow mein, sweet and sour pork, chicken balls, fried rice etc. And quite a few of their soups are gluten free, and best of all gluten free fish and chips...

Yes, working tomorrow is a bummer. We are going out to the local restaurant for dinner. A friend owns it and does a nice safe dinner for me. 2 1/2 hours left here.

Yes, the last fire they set was about 3 years ago, but it was a government building here in the valley that Selkirk college uses, or used, they distroyed it. Their homes were common, and like you said, always when it was warm enough to rebuild. But all government property was fair game as well. And when that happened you had a court room full of naked...

Oh ... does that mean that I have to give Sheba some wine to catch up with the drunken cat? How about cat nip, did your cats get some for Christmas? Yup, 1946 surgery was pretty primitive. Mom had scars across her whole belly. I was born at home and the drunken old doctor didn't clean her out properly, so she got gangarine in the womb. That must have been...

Yes, the old sect of doukabours have pretty much died out now. The younger ones just get into mischief out of bordom and then blame the religion. When we moved here 30 years ago though there were signs in all the school staff room about what to do in case of a bombing. That was scary with our kids going there. But it is a very beautiful place of...

He'd tell me to get out of the way, he can't see the puck! Besides, I have to go outside to get downstairs, it's a might chilly out.

Oh heavens no! Not Camel Poops! It's much too drab there. We live in the Slocan Valley about 45 minutes drive from Nelson ... or Castlegar, depends which way you turn at the junction. I hear a Hyesterectomy isn't quite as envasive as it used to be. I had one years ago. I hope the recovery is shorter now! Would you believe my mom had a total in 1...

My hubby is downstairs watching some sports on TV ... nothing exciting happening here. such is life after 40 years of togetherness

She is dressed in her finest winter coat...a couple inches thick and a darker red than her picture. She tends to fade to a red tip cream in the summer

So the bat found some sticky gluten laden New Year's feast?
-
Oh yes, and my beautiful Sheba is ready to party too. And yes Rusla, Sheba is a strange name for a Shiba Inu, but her regestered name is "Rokita's Gal Sheba" so that's what she ended up with. Sheba is spelled like the Queen of Sheba, which she thinks she is at times

Happy New year ... well, in a few hours. I have my lovely pink wine and chocolates ... what more can one ask?

Happy New Year everyone, Rusla has started a New Year party thread. See you there!
