Thank you for this insight. I have had rectal bleeding after glutening and subsequent constipation (+ IBS-C) and always attributed it to internal hemorrhoids (diagnosed). What I wasn't aware of is the possibility of bleeding further up the digestive tract. Please can you elaborate on the causes and symptoms to watch for?

Hi, I also find this resource so amazing 👏 Thanks to all. I have had low iron stores for years (always put down to menstruation by doctors) and my resting heart rate averages around 56bpm. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease 10 months ago. Whilst doing some investigations into low iron this week, I found the following article that suggests that ir...

A quick heads-up - I have recently found out that many restaurants in my part of the world use pre-prepared "reconstituted" chips and the majority appear to contain gluten.

Thank you so much for your amazing support. As it turns out, I have a bout right now. It always seems to manifest when I am exposed to too much sun 🤷🏼♀️ but then again, it may be food - I really don't know 🙈 and must be guided by the professionals.- 30 replies

Covid virus/vaccine triggering celiac
Bronwyn W replied to Tintern21's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Hi Trents, I am not 💯 % sure, although they do seem to be blisters. This especially when scratched when itchy and worsens with heat. I will make an effort to see a dermatologist for an official diagnosis. Are you able to advise how it would officially be diagnosed?- 30 replies

Covid virus/vaccine triggering celiac
Bronwyn W replied to Tintern21's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Hi all, The reason I think that I may have had celiac disease for awhile is because I have had dermatitis herpetiformis symptoms (undiagnosed) for many, many years prior to contracting Covid and subsequent celiac disease diagnosis. Would it be safe to assume that dermatitis herpetiformis = celiac disease? Kind regards,- 30 replies

Covid virus/vaccine triggering celiac
Bronwyn W replied to Tintern21's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Hi Tintern21, I had Covid in March 2021 (not the vaccine) which definitely caused me to become introspective and search more vigorously for harmony and peace within my body. I received my final vaccine in Sept 2021 and I was diagnosed with Celiac disease 4 months ago in October 2021. On reflection, I was ignorant to the fact that I carry the celiac gene...- 30 replies

Hi Eileen, I was diagnosed and have been on a Gluten Free diet for 4 months. We have tested 4 other family members (sister, child, grandchild and niece) and all were positive with the Celiac gene. Two were symptom free and one had Dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) which was diagnosed as a sun allergy for 20 years and the other diagnosed with diverticulitis...
