  1. That's like saying lobster doesn't come from the sea, it comes from the kitchen. My boyfriend said something mean about her that I can't really reprint here.....
  2. Maybe it didn't even occur to them that they needed to specify 'and guest'. You'd figure, though, that you'd be mentioned one way or another.
  3. Oh, try burning coffee grounds in a pan on the stove.
  4. I didn't squirt too much yesterday! Boil cucumbers, they're very alkaline!
  5. I work in a hotel, and when a room has an unexplainable, uneradicable smell, we put dryer sheets in the vents for a few days and shampoo the carpet. Is your weather fair enough to leave the windows open, at least while you're not home?
  6. Was that when she went gluten free?
  7. Well, I am happy to report that the only Bunnie pellets left at the fair yesterday landed in the potty. I finally got to eat something other than banana bread last night around 9 pm. 36 hrs on nothing but banana bread...... Boy, that was tough. I'm a big protein girl, I eat eggs for breakfast, chicken for lunch, beef for dinner almost daily (with some minor...
  8. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I am a lttle worried about an accident (where else would someone understand that but here?) so I'm bringing a change of clothes. I just can't fathom having that happen at work though. "Checking in?" Squirt..... Mmmm, no. I was up at 4:30 this morning on my potty, so I called then and said, uh, yeah... No. Don't think it's gonna...
  9. Thanks! I need more votes, it will make me feel better. I'm very attached to my job, I hate calling out, even when I'm calling from the toilet. There is the fact that my boyfriend would be a complete ****head if I went to work tomorrow, which I'm not sure is really worth it.
  10. This is a technique I've had to employ on a number of occasions. It does bind me up, but it's better than ruining all my pants.
  11. Huh. I dunno! Mine had to do with weight gain. I need stretchy bras, but not separate ones. They just bulge over the top a bit.... oh well. I'd ask your girly doctor if they think this is normal.
  12. No animals! Allergic..... Wah. So I have a moral dilemma. I am a hotel conierge, who runs a continental breakfast in a private lounge mon-fri. Of late, my manager has taken to scheduling me at the front desk, which I run quite well, which is why she's doing it, on weekends without much notice, and I've been a bit put out by this, verbally so. She's tired...
  13. I've had more tender breats since going gluten-free, but I think it's because they've gotten larger from the wieght gain, and so when they swell up on my period they're bloody huge and hurt like heck and sitck straight out, then after my period they relax again. Have you experienced a change in size?
  14. What's the texture like? It seems kinda strange, rice krispies on top of sweet potatos.
  15. No, they shouldn't, but rare is the restaurant staff that truly adheres to this. My Daddy was a professional chef, it's very hard to get the support staff to always wear gloves.
  16. Yeah, baby... Oh, I forget who wanted the flour conversion options. You could try white rice, quinoa flakes, and cornstarch or tapioca starch. I think millet or teff would be too dark.
  17. Sorry, I got nuthin for the mac&cheese.
  18. You could probably use pectin, flaxseed, and applesauce to make the banana bread. If you use quinoa flakes instead of buckwheat flour it will be lighter and hold together better for an egg-free version.
  19. I know, I'm such a bum. Here's what I had for dinner: One pound beef browned in big pot One bag frozen corn One bag frozen peas One big can diced tomatos Some hot water for juice Cumin, garlic, pepper, red pepper, salt, basil Heat through! Now there's some easy dinner. I like to top with parmesan. I also made kasha porridge...
  20. I have a range of symptoms that last for about a month total. The stomach stuff lasts about two weeks.
  21. Alright, alright...... SERIOUSLY awesome banana bread, here goes. Makes 2 loaves. 1 cup sorghum flour 1 cup arrowroot starch 1 cup buckwheat flour (or quinoa flakes) 1 tsp salt 1 1/2 Tbsp baking powder 2 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsps xanthan gum 6 eggs 6 very ripe bananas, I freeze mine and thaw, they're sweeter 1/2 cup honey, more...
  22. Oh, sure, other people post recipes and everyone's all, "Oooo, how yummy, that looks good, ooooo....." I post and NADA! Humph...
  23. Not in my house. My boyfriend's family is physically incapable of shutting up. I regularly just tune him out and miss what he's saying. I don't mean to. Oh well...... Guess some role reversals have to happen somewhere.
  24. We toasted a piece on a lark when I bought a loaf for stuffing, yeah... not so much. Scary stuff. Great for stuffing! Very strange......
  25. Isn't it? I posted it in the recipes section. Boy, is it yummy. It's very whole-grainy tasting, so use white flours instead of the ones I suggested if you want a lighter, more subtle kinda bread.
