  1. Oh yeah, I forgot! My lips no longer molt like a snake on a daily basis.
  2. No more brain fog weight loss (5'7" 105lbs, now I'm 145 lbs) icky poo! passing out NAUSEA running into things missing work panic fear depression boring food! fearsome headaches unexplained fevers #1 thing I got rid of: "I'll fatten you up!" And now I'm a rockin cook, baker, smoothie maker..... Ok, I'm getting silly.
  3. Awwww, what hurts? Kisses! ....................... ( There's no kiss emoticon..... Travesty. )
  4. OooOooOoo..... Well that's annoying. I suppose it makes sense though.
  5. Ummmm..... I can still edit....... And I thought your post was lovely.
  6. Y'know I just have to comment on this thread, because it seems I'm on the opposite side of the board from most of the people here. It never once occurred to me to care what people think of my food issues. I've put on different outfits in the mirror, tried different things with my makeup, my hair, I've worn slinky dresses to clubs, painted my nails on occasion...
  7. "Wasn't unpleasnt"? My vote for Understatement of the Year Award.
  8. Probably the colander or something then, because if she does it to lose weight, then she wouldn't have any special kitchen stuff to prevent cross-contamination.
  9. Ha ha ha!! Peter's got CRS disease! (Can't remember S***)
  10. Can too! Just need rice pasta! Bring your own if you have to! There's also a breakfast place in Portland Ct called Eggs Up Grill that has gluten-free muffins, bread, bagels, and pancakes. The owner has Celiac. And there's a place in Rocky Hill called Elizabeth's that has gluten-free tapioca rolls they'll make you, and they have gluten-free pasta.
  11. Oh, you suck..... I live 1/2 hour away, so worth it though..... Best baguette I ever had gluten-free! More like french bread though, it's so soft.
  12. There's a fairly new place in Vernon CT called Nature's Grocer that carries gluten-free cookies, baguettes, muffins, and other stuff depending on the day. They have a dedicated baking facility, the owners are a married couple, the wife has Celiac. Their baguette bread is AMAZING. And she makes THE BEST chicken salad and soups! Oh my god! If you're in Ct,...
  13. Spend more time at home baking!
  14. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!! See, this is funny, because my rather wide hips prefer pants that have side zips, a lot of businesswear front-zips look wrong on me because I guess I'm overly woman shaped. (Extreme hip-to-waist ratio) So when I find a pair I look decent in I tend to wear them to death, and my side-zip for work are starting to trap me occasionally...
  15. I've gained 40 lbs since going gluten-free (woohoo!) I'm all JLo booty now, anyway. The first ten pounds just appeared in the first two months, then the next 30 came SLOWLY over the next two years. Give it time, it'll happen. If you're still hungry all the time, then you're not eating enough. But if youre not hungry all the time, then just relax! It'll come...
  16. I totally didn't get that movie.
  17. Well, I personally wouldn't skip straight to hormone therapy. It's probably something physical, I'd get a full chekup & a pap smear.
  18. Here, lemme just grab this penlight.... Nope, not even gonna go there.
  19. HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! It's the other way with us, I'm the one dragging my hulking boyfriend through the store saying "NO NO NO!" Everyone looks at us funny. It's not even that he buys too much stuff (which he does, but) It's that he has to LOOK at EVERYTHING in the store!!!!! Ok, honey, same crap as last time, still Walmart........
  20. You can't win if you don't play! If you're talking about chronic diarrhea, then you might try fiber supplementation too, that helps a lot of people.
  21. Give it a while before you start blaming meat. Your tummy is probably still pissed, and would have acted up no matter what you ate. Try and stick to gentle food for now, the longer you're gluten free, the longer and/or worse a glutening may affect you.
  22. Sounds to me like your reflux may be due to another food intolerance and/or certain nutritional deficiencies. I would try cutting dairy and soy, and getting a sublingual methylcobalamin (B12) supplement. These are the two major culprits after gluten.
