  1. Wow, you typed that all out? Thanks for the work. Though I don't think they can claim to be gluten free when they have this little item. So doesn't that mean these products might be safe, but may not, so it's a risk? I'm still kinda new to avioding gluten, so I could be wrong. But wanted to ask about that.
  2. If you see this before you go in to the doctor, good luck, and hopefully they drug ya up nicely! =)
  3. That's what an online support group is for! You're welcome, and feel better soon. =)
  4. Think you can rant away here Jill, believe most of us have been there, done that, might have thrown a few things too, lol, oops. Least you haven't had any doctors tell you it's in your head, you're fine, live with it, go see a shrink, have ya? Oh that's fun! If the results do come back negative from the biopsies, well, you could always try Enterolab...
  5. That's true. Also if I hadn't found this message board, I'd be listening to my doctor when he says I don't have celiac disease. That'd suck! Nice seeing others have doctors like that, well not nice for them, lol. =)
  6. Wow, now that really sucks. But to look on the bright side, you said you were finally starting to feel better? Awful little bump in the rode, but without sounding too corny, you've seen the light at the end of the tunnel! So hopefully once you recover from this, you'll be out in the light. =) I don't know if it helps any celiac3270, but my day has...
  7. I was feeling exactly the same way! The blood test might show something, mine showed I might have Celiac Disease, but since everything else said no, my doctor thinks I don't. Though Enterolab says yes, and I'm banking on them. If yer having trouble cutting out Gluten, well go to a diet of just fruits, veggies, and meat (not processed). Then work on...
  8. HeatherMelissa: Basically you just have to call the people who produce the food and find out. If they can't give you a straight answer, then don't eat their product. But as celiac3270 said, it can be almost anything. So the flavors can be different things from product to product. Just an example, I was buying ground up turkey at the groccery store,...
  9. Do your articles say differently then he does? I don't know how good your celiac disease doctor is, but I think if you feel this might help, then forgot him, and go for it. Though since you're a minor, umm.. I don't want to get myself in trouble here by telling you what to do. This would be something you should discuss with your parents. But, unless your...
  10. celiac3270 -> Wow, guess you'd like to smack me for complaining about 5 weeks, while you've been at it for 5 months? =) Though I can understand your feelings, I've been dealing with my problems for about 10 years now. Least I've hopefully found the cause, just need to get better now! And great point about the biopsies! Thanks. gf4life -> It...
  11. Niteyx13, for me, the first week and a half, maybe 2 weeks, I had an on again, off again headache, that at times wasn't too bad, got real bad (for a few days), then seemed to lessen and eventually I noticed I wasn't having them anymore. Having headaches can be normal for me, but that was a lot more than normal. I figured maybe I was going through gluten...
  12. Eep, really Judy? How were your symptons? Mine started up about 10 years ago, and just got worse and worse and worse! Been pretty worse for some time now. So guess that means healing could take awhile, lol.. just wish the doctor I'm seeing would think that too! He doesn't though. And no worries, not gonna give up on the diet, I just wrote that in frustration...
  13. You can find enterolab here: Open Original Shared Link You should beable to get the info you need there. I don't think I'd do them justice, if I tried to explain everything (reasoning behind their testing, etc). Though will say, they are a lab that others here have used too, that said they had Celiac Disease, while their biopsies showed as normal. ...
  14. Thanks you two. And yeah, not giving up on the diet, I just haven't felt better at all yet, even before this. Kinda despressing, lol. burdee -> Yeah, I noticed how their Vanillia was made on the same machines as dairy products, grrr.. how can they claim to call it dairy free?? But guess I was being stupid to think that the vanilla in the orange swirl...
  15. By accident, I mean I have no clue what happened. Wednesday was supposedly 5 weeks Gluten-free Casein-free, but ugh.. I was feeling awful. Had a reaction to something I ate. Only two new things I had that could have caused it, were some Glutano's Petzels (maybe the yeast? lol) and a little Rice Dream's Orange Vanilla Swirl Icecream. I know the plain Vanilla...
  16. Quite symptomatic, LOL. Up to 25 days now. Don't think I really crave gluten anymore, but just anything in general, that is like junk food! Trouble finding good junk foods so far, besides candy, hehe. Still a bit annoying though when everyone here gets pizza, and I come across the left over. At first I wanted it.. now I want someone just to eat it and...
  17. Oh shoot! I wasn't even thinking about gluten-free when I got it.. Need to think in terms of gluten-free/CF, both!! Least I haven't been drinking it that much, like only twice. Didn't enjoy it that much.
  18. Thanks all for responses! =) catfish -> Yeah, I'm still kinda in crazy mode, a bit.. lol. burdee: I'm not sure about Soy, I should just drink a big glass of soy milk to find out, if Soy is bad or not, lol.. though haven't found any soy milk I actually like enough to do that with. I do have Rice Dream's Rice Drink. Seemed decent.. so, think...
  19. Oh yeah, and to aviod crums and such.. like if I'm putting my spongue down, I put it on a paper towel, so hopefully safe there! Think I'm doing better than when I first started. =)
  20. Thanks for the reply. So I shouldn't be scared to use our bowls? Or be better to get new ones? Also with cups, they have had milk in them.. should still be okay, or no? And fork/knives/spoons.. should be safe? And yeah, I hate whey! LOL.. there were all these gluten free products I found that had whey in them, made me wanna cry! I think though, it...
  21. Well, been gluten and casien free (hopefully) for 22 days now. I'm not expecting to magically get better all of a sudden, but not really noticing anything yet. So this post is asking if I'm doing anything wrong, and other such things. Also.. seeing GI Doc again at the end of August, and he doesn't believe I have any problems with gluten. Small Intestines...
  22. I dun know.. my dad said, "Hey, member you're going threw withdrawal" the other day. I tried searching with yahoo, and couldn't find a thing about gluten withdrawal, besides withdrawaling it from your diet.. so, I dunno. Maybe possible? I have no real clue, still have the headache though, LOL.
  23. Yeah you were, and oddly, or maybe happily, I'm feeling fine now. Was just feeling down for no real reason I guess, lol. Maybe my body is getting use to diet change? Think I had been eating fairly high carb diet, now real low too. Since mainly just fruits, veggies, and meat. Though have had a fairly bad headache for the past 2 days, now.. maybe the...
  24. Okay, thanks for the nice long reply. =) I'm in the real bad symptons boat, so going knowing there is a cause and a cure is a blessing and not a burden for me. Also have been in the hopeless boat, while doctors would tell me nothing was wrong, or it's in my heads, lol. Oh, I loved how they'd say, oh.. you're sick cuz yer depressed. The concept that I was...
  25. So just finished day 4 of not eating anything with Gluten and Casein in it. I tried searching the board, but only found people saying Gluten could cause depression. But can going gluten free (or casein) cause it too? Maybe makes some brain chemicals or something go wonky for a bit? Have changed my diet by quite a bit. I dunno, could just be me, but...
