  1. Maybe? I'm not much of an expert at this, sorry. Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention.. you said he was teething? Maybe something you've been giving him to chew on has gluten on it somehow? Well trying. =)
  2. Is it possible there could have been cross contamination somehow? Is your household completely gluten-free? If not.. if there happens to be crumbs on the floor, and he crawls through them.. could get some on his hands, and as soon as he puts a hand in his mouth, then there goes gluten in him. Oh maybe a new product he started up on, has some gluten hiding...
  3. Well, just in my experience.. there was no damage discovered in my small intestines, yet I do have a lot of problems. Not sure if that is what you wanted to know? Some people break out in rashes from gluten, which is elsewhere. Yeah, I've read that too.. and pretty sure that's true. Not an expert though. I think there is always a reason, I've read...
  4. Really? Darn, I should run out and buy up any others I can find! LOL The health food store I got them at, did have a lot it looked like, and that was on Thursday. Think the Wegmans near here (well one of them, lol), had them too.. least a few weeks back. Should check, thanks for the info.
  5. Are they currently selling it? If not, maybe they'll get it up when they are selling it. Though, I figure the people handling the atkin's friendly foods, will also be handling the other foods, like buns, so cross contanimation would be a good chance. Best to call them up to find out, and if they happen to be gluten-free, find out at the location you...
  6. Jill, yeah you can be. Least I believe it is possible from things I read on here. I don't know how long after he ate he is "safe" to kiss. But if you get him to brush his teeth, floss, mouthwash.. and maybe wash his lips? lol.. it should be fine. Or maybe that's over doing it. Trying using the search option for the forums, pretty sure I saw a thread about...
  7. Dang, thanks celiac3270.. now I need to go jump off a bridge, err.. I mean try to stick to that list. =)
  8. Wow.. that's a good idea! Any gluten-free breads you would recommend? Ones I have tried, have been awful! LOL
  9. Considering that other fast food places that have come out with Atkin things, that weren't gluten free, I'd highly doubt Wendy's would be. And I'd think the chance of contamination would be pretty good too, since they don't need to keep the products gluten free, if they happen to be. Would really be nice though.
  10. Oh, I didn't have that problem. I just cooked them a little longer like it said to do, if they were frozer. Then I cut one in half, to make sure it was cooked, and it was.. and didn't notice any undercooking for any of them. Perhaps you could try that? =)
  11. Actually I didn't mind wheat ones if they weren't toasted, true they were better toasted. And thanks! Too bad I already threw the rest out, lol.. oops. Though without a toaster.. hmm.. maybe I could have broiled them in the oven? LOL Molly, here's their website: Open Original Shared Link They actually have a form you can download to bring to a health...
  12. Didn't see this mentioned on the boards, so thought I'd share with everyone! Try to give back to the community. At the Health food store here, in their freezer section, found Wellshire Kids' Gluten Free Chicken Bites Dinosaur Shaped. Looked nifty, so I got it.. tried it tonight, and yum! Didn't seem any different than any non-gluten-free item like this...
  13. I've found their products at health food stores, and normal grocier stores, that have a health food section. They're stuff is normal in a freezer or fridge though (least in my experience). celiac3270 -> I totally agree about their brownies.. but, the english muffin.. I dunno, I just found it real icky! To me didn't have much taste, and it really had...
  14. Ouch Molly! Though my throat felt fine. I just wanted more drugs! LOL Wow, so your family is getting tested Jill? Mentioned to mine it'd be good if they got tested, but no one else has any symptons.. and knowing what the diet involves, they'd rather not know if they should get tested, lol.. oh well. Least if they start to develop symptons, it won't take...
  15. But aren't all of us here on a diet? =P Sorry, couldn't resist! Looks interesting, but I'd have to figure out how to make it dairy free, and happy with cooking simply stuff so far. Sure the cooks here will be thankful! =)
  16. LOL, I was really really dazed too. I barely remember asking for more drugs, but was told later I kept asking and asking, when they had finished. Before my procedure when I was talking to the nurses, I saw the TV screen that would show my insides, and I was like, "Oh, I get to watch!" And a nurse replied, "Yeah, but you won't remember." And she was basically...
  17. Buy some Lactid Milk, or whatever it's called. Hrrmm.. you can buy it at stores, and it's basically Milk, but they remove the lactose or something. Have a nice big glass, and if later you feel like dying.. then it is the casein! Err.. some bad humor in that. But I reacted exactly the same to that stuff, if it had been a normal glass of milk. That was before...
  18. LOL.. after they were done with my endoscopy, I kept asking them for more drugs! Guess I was enjoying it, I was a bit out of it at the time. (=
  19. Try asking him? If he had just ate or grabbed something else that would get gluten on his hands, and then put his hand in the bag of chips, then I think that could contaminate the bag. Least that makes sense to me.
  20. Wish mine was open minded like that too! Good everything went well for ya Jill. =)
  21. Found this on the gfcfdiet.com website. Is that still true, or will that new bill passed fix this loophole?? Because, geez.. that's just STUPID! Guess that's why today when I was at the health food store, found some pizza that was gluten and dairy free. I was happy! Check to see what was in it, to be safe, and it had caseinate!! That's DAIRY! Least...
  22. I'll try to answer your question, and welcome to the boards! I tried looking around on the web, couldn't find anything saying it was gluten and dairy free. So, I'd assume it isn't. Calling the company would be the best way to find out. Someone else here might know too. How's this for a kick. Even if you aren't feeling a reaction for the little stuff...
  23. Got the idea of probiotics from a post by celiac3270 about bacterial overgrowth, and thinking why not try them? A post in the Open Original Shared Link lovegrov said: So it sounds like it'd be a good idea, and if I don't need them, no harm done. Though I have talked with a doctor in the past about out of balance flora from antibiotics, so taking one...
  24. ~wAvE WeT sAnD~ You're welcome! I ended up seeing a shrink maybe 3rd or 4th. I got first sent to a more surgeon type doctor who thought surgery would fix all my problems. Obviously, it didn't, and was certainly fun, lol.
  25. Okay, thanks you two. =) Though making life harder for me, I need to aviod casien too.. and since they do make products with cheese, think that increases my risk there too. Figure that's on the same lines as well. So guess for now, I'll stick to home made potato chips! lol
