    The flavoring could have had gluten in it, so it is possible that it was the popcorn that made you sick. Also, if they were serving "gluten" foods, than you could have got cross-contamination.

    I know what you mean! I'm from PEI, Canada (north-east from Maryland) and I know a few people here who have celiac, but most of them are all older than me. The majority of people at the last celiac meeting I went to here were seniors. It's really too bad that we all didn't live closer together.

    You guys are lucky, that is so sweet I've had friends buy me gluten-free food before, which was really nice.

    Welcome, Your symptoms and your history sound a lot like celiac. If you want an official diagnosis, make sure that you don't start the gluten free diet until after all the medical tests or else you could get false negative results. I reccomend getting the tissue transglutamase blood test along with the other blood tests for celiac.

    Some people say that distilled alcohols from wheat/rye/barley sources are ok, but I personally avoid them. Non grain source alcohols like white rum and wine should be ok. (I've heard that dark rum can have gluten, but I do not know for sure).

    Yeah, the rash should go away after following a gluten-free diet for awhile. Until the rash clears up, maybe try girl boxer shorts or thongs.

    I usually try my best to go to school, work, ect, but I don't push it. When I am extremley tired and not feeling well from the gluten I will sleep in for the morning and go to school late. When I get severe pain while I am out or at home I just have to sit there and wait it out.

    Cooked potatoes cut into small cubes (I cook about 7 potatoes or so) 2 tbs Heinz white vinegar 1 cup Kraft light mayo 1 cup celery 1/2 cup yellow onions 2 hard boiled eggs cut up 2-3 green onions cut up small (optional) garnish with paprika (I use McCormick) I just throw it all together in a bowl

    I voted for 3-7 days. If I have a very small amount of gluten, the symtoms are usually gone in 7 days, but I have had reactions that lasted for more than 2 weeks. It all depends on the amount I guess.

    I am very sensitive to small amounts of gluten, even to the point where I don't even know what I ate that made me sick, I just know I was glutened. I've never actually tried distilled grain products, so I don't know how I react to them.

    I love shepards, they are people lovers and would do anything for their owners.

    If you want accurate blood test results you must be consuming gluten. If you get tests done on a gluten free diet you can get false negative blood test results.

    If your doctor is not doing a biopsy than I would put him on the diet now. There are lots of recipes for gluten free cakes. I have some if you want them.

    I get really dry skin sometimes, but I don't know if it is related to celiac disease. I'm sure a lack of certain vitamins would lead to dry skin, so it makes sence. Some people are just prone to dry skin.
