  1. Lol! I know, dairy kills most good options. It's funny because on the bottle it says take with "ice cream, fried foods, etc" yuck! I don't like high fat foods, and i don't want to get fat! LOL! Also, it's 2x day, so I wonder if I can just take it with a bite of something versus a whole meal?!
  2. I am about to start taking a medication which needs to be taken with high fat foods. I am wondering if people have ideas. It must be gluten-free, dairy free, soy free, sugar and starch free. It needs to be taken 2x day so things that are easy to prepare. Thanks everyone!
  3. Julie, As far as money on supps....olive leaf is about $30, and probiotics are about $43....so by the time you add in tax, s+h, etc. maybe about $90 a month. It's not that bad. But, it also depends on whether or not I need 1 or 2 theralac a day. If I need 2 a day (I don't know yet because I haven't started taking it) then it will be about $130 a month...
  4. So I ordered a few things last night: Finishing Powders: Silk Dust Small Sooshco Baby Kabuki Brush Size * concealer: Intensive Concealer Medium 2.5g * blush or face color: Nick Nack 2.5g * foundation: (Cool) Cool-Fair Medium 2.5g Intensive * foundation: (Beige) Beige-Fairly Light 2.5g Intensive * foundation...
  5. Yes--my shower was GREAT! I go anywhere from 1-6 times a day. It really varies. LOL! That used to be me! I never used to have issues, except a lot of times it was D. The only real problem it caused was my family used to think I was anorexic! LOL!!! Susie, That's great about your appt with Dr. P. Donna, I ordered...
  6. It's a residential part of the facility. He apparently isn't going to be coming home at all anymore...maybe to visit, but my mom is going to turn his room into an office for her.
  7. That's what my mom thinks! My skin is hungry! LOL! That would be a heck of a testimonial, "My skin eats your minerals!" I will try what you suggested. I have a full basket, so I am going to order another sampler kit. My only thing is I need to figure out how to make it long-lasting otherwise I am going to be stuck with 1000 different make-ups...
  8. I'm about to shower PICC-less! OMG, I am so EXCITED! I don't have to wear a glove all the way up to my shoulder! Update on my brother: he was "upgraded/promoted" to a residential living program! I'm shocked, not in a bad way, but I didn't think he would "move" that quickly! And, we have our first family session thing tomorrow!
  9. I was positive for SIBO...you can look for some threads in this forum. I was given 10 days of abx and it did nothing for my symptoms, but I also have other health issues. The test was REALLY easy....but VERY boring! The abx made me feel awful for about 5-7 days (which I was told is normal and to be expected) and then I started to feel like I did before...
  10. Ugh! I HATE, HATE, HATE them! I hope they rot! My leg hurts every time I do it...so if it's any consolation, I think that's normal. My question is, why do you do it in the afternoon? They told me to do it in the morning, so it doesn't disturb my sleep pattern (yea, right! ).
  11. OMG, I want to KILL my insurance company! I don't know how they SLEEP at night! They are SO awful! Grrr! Sorry, just had to vent!
  12. Okay everyone, I haven't been following this thread because you guys are just SO busy! I have a question though, how do you get it to last all day? It looks great for a couple hours, then it doesn't look good anymore. My mom thinks my skin is mineral hungry! Any ideas? I thought about using my smashbox photo finish, but it usually...
  13. Oy vey! It's pulled and it wasn't bad...the Dr. was flirty though! It was very funny. They ALL remembered me because when I had it placed, we talked about the places I have traveled, so they remembered! LOL! My grandpa had to meet me there because I am under 18, so I needed someone there to consent, and he apparently went to the wrong building! So...
  14. Off to go get my PICC pulled! I'm so nervous it's not even funny! I'm so afraid it's going to hurt when they pull the 5 stitches! Ahhhh
  15. Thanks guys! I am now trying to remind myself not to eat in the morning in case they need to use anesthesia to take it out, I have to have fasted. Hmm...I wonder if I wrote a note on my forehead?! I probably wouldn't see that!
  16. I'm feeling okay for the most part...lots going on, but good I guess. You'd have to read the last 200 pages of the OMG thread. How is your back/discs feeling?
  17. He called back and he said unless I have a fever or get flu-like symptoms, I don't need to go to the ER. He said if I do get either of those, go right away to the ER and it's not to be taken lightly. He wants me to go tomorrow and have it pulled because he said he doesn't want to keep it in anymore, it's making him too nervous. Also, he got my blood results...
  18. Okay now I have bad news. It seems there is something wrong with my PICC line, so we are waiting to hear back from the Dr to see if we need to go to the ER! UGH! If it's not one thing, it's another.
  19. Susie, I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss.
  20. Quick update: The mepron is supposed to be $564 with insurance, but apparently we are about $100 away from hitting a deductible! That's amazing! So, I'm going to call tomorrow and ask the insurance company what it would cost if we paid and hit the deductible, because if it's only $15 or something close to that, we will gladly pay so it's cheap from here on...
  21. Jin, Yea, it's crazy about the insurance. I don't know what's going on. It is also really stressful about my brother, but also a sigh of relief to finally know he's getting the proper treatment he needs. I actually don't have any issues with taking meds because I know we are treating something, the root cause, not just symptoms. That's the only reason...
  22. Sherry, I can't move into my brothers room because we are trying to rid it of the pot smell. I will ask my mom to help me move the chair though. Also, a big part of lyme is neck/shoulder/head pain for me, in answer to your question. Good luck, and I hope you have a safe flight. Carla, I may try tylenol, but it doesn't usually really work...
  23. Everyone, I have a problem. So, it's obviously been a bit crazy in my life the past couple weeks with my health and now my brother. In the middle of all of this, there is still a leak in my room, and it is ruining the carpeting because it started leaking either during the day when I wasn't home or at night and I didn't know it. So, now there are quite...
  24. Me too! I wouldn't be where I am either without you guys! That's for SURE! I had never even heard of Lyme before this thread!
  25. I agree with everything Rachel said. I just wanted to add that I am going to be starting a no startch/sugar diet very soon because it helps with Candida, because I am on lots of antibiotics for Lyme. It's kind of a preventative measure. I am going to get more information from my Dr. about the guidelines in a few days, and I can post it if you'd like, so you...
