  1. I have Lyme Disease and the reason someone said that Lyme is connected to arthiritis, and fibro is because they are kinda just symptoms, and a lot of the times people get rid of them altogether when they are treated for Lyme. If you're interested in getting tested, I'd check out the Lyme Disease thread so you can ask over there. I can answer most of your...
  2. I'm in LA...so it's not TOO far. LOL! There's almost nobody from LA on this board...I think everyone is too busy.
  3. Nyxie, Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
  4. Has anyone tried their cleansing products? Like the soap bars? They are so cheap, I don't know if I could resist!
  5. I see you Jin! Can't sleep....stupid Lyme!!!
  6. Lol! I guess if it helps...hey, why not?! LOL! I know...I had acupuncture a few times, and my pants came off, but needles were never actually "in" me "down there."
  7. Now, that's one LOADED question, lol. It's obviously really different for everyone. I don't even know how I could describe it to anyone. I guess for me it's a lot of unexplained symptoms, fatigue being the most problematic for me. Dizziness is really a big one for me as well, I went to the movies tonight and I got SO dizzy walking up to my seat my friend...
  8. Does anyone here know where the British, Swedish, Spanish, French and Dutch originally settled along the Atlantic? (I know this is REALLY off topic, BUT I just can't seem to find it in my notes and since this is brain fog caused, it is KINDA on topic ) Thanks if you do know!
  9. Nyxie, I agree with you about the first part, but the ferritin range is SO different for everyone. According to my Hematologist, for me, my ferritin needs to be about 150 for me to feel good. A typical range for ferritin is about 5-300. It really varies for people depending on their height, weight, age and sex. 90 for men, that may be ture for...
  10. Carla, I asked my mom because I thought it did sound like an awfully private place to have acupuncture, but my mom said she has heard of it!
  11. Tonight for dinner we had the one CarlaB suggested. It was REALLY good! Except, we didn't use mushrooms (yuck! lol) and we did it on the BBQ.
  12. Both calcium and vitamin B levels will have a number (your result) and a reference range. I have no idea what the ranges are beause they are different with every lab. Ferritin often gets overlooked, but for me it caused a lot of problems. I had a huge blood loss and my hemoglobin along with every other iron number got realllly low. My ferritin was at...
  13. Carla, I thought the same thing! I'm hoping she meant something else!
  14. Carla, Okay. Thanks, I was going to ask the LLMD and still will, but I was wondering how much you took. Everyone, I was just reading on LN about nightmares and it reminded me! I had another nightmare last night!! I was being stabbed with a knife by these two men, but then I stabbed one back and KILLED him! Ahhh, how awful!? I don't know what...
  15. I agree with you Donna. She said that she gets it from QVC for really cheap otherwise she wouldn't buy it. I don't think I'll ever convince her...she's pretty darn stubborn. But I have another friend with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and she said she never wears make up because she can't tolerate it, but since EM doesn't smell, she's going to try...
  16. I just wanted to jump in and say about a yeast test. My LLMD used a test called D-Arabinitol for Candidiasis (Candida) and it only came out in May of '07...I guess it's quite a breakthrough because like Carla said, there never used to be ways to really test for Candida/yeast. He may or may not know about it...I don't know. It's a fairly new test,...
  17. No..lol. I used a foundation brush from the brand Lola that I already had from Sephora. It worked just fine. Next time I go to the mall, I'll go to bloomies and Sephora (have gift cards to both) and get some new brushes. I told 2 of my friends about this make up today. One told me that "nothing compared to BE" I laughed.
  18. Donna, You'd get used to it. Carla, How many Theralac do you take in a day? We just ordered some.
  19. For everyone who has had their hemoglobin checked...what about other numbers? That's not the only way to diagnose anemia. You can be iron defieient also. My regular dr. told me I wasn't anemic for months, until I went to a Hematologist and he told me I was "deathly" anemic because I was severely ferritin (and other things) deficient. I was also very cold...
  20. Carla, Thanks for the update! Paula, I put your addy in the Yahoo one. I don't know if we are able to talk because you have MSN. I also have that, but I don't think it's on this computer.
  21. I'm officially IN LOVE!!! This stuff is AMAZING! I love it! I only used it as foundation, but my skin looks INCREDIBLE! YAY!!! Thanks for all your suggestions!
  22. Lol Donna! Does it allow Yahoo messenger? My dad's work used to have all kinds of firewalls but he was allowed to use Yahoo for some reason. I am pretty fast, but I have friends who type like freakin' speedsters!
  23. Kristina, I'm sorry that happened. I have no idea what to expect. I usually get severly nauseated after being glutened...like within 25 minutes or so. Paula, I know...between this thread and now online chatting...FORGET IT! LOL! I also got a Yahoo messenger thing...chatting with Andrea right now, but I can't see the messages at all! Wierd...
  24. Paula, how about something like Yahoo or AIM? That may work. I already have an account with both actually. And, I have another chat for Lyme teens I do on Wednesday nights...so that may work.
  25. Yea, Carla...I don't know how I am EVER going to get anything done! Who wants to learn about Socrates anyway?! LOL! Andrea and Donna, I know...Celiac.com has taken over my life! When I went to school, I got a new phone so I could check the posts! LOL! I'd get caught in class looking on here!
