  1. Nancy, this is the lab I am waiting for, SAM/SAH results and also ammonia levels. I HOPE to get them this week. They were drawn June 30!!!! Sherry
  2. Just caught up reading after several days away plus awhile where my internet connection wouldn't work. Finally back on after 4-5 days! Need to go back and absorb some info... Sherry
  3. There's a company that makes powders very cheap but I am blanking out on the name right now. If I can find it I'll send it. Sherry
  4. Birdy, I think that LabCorp might not be reliable. At least the Marshall protocol people say that. My allergist also mentioned that some labs are not reliable. Part of it is how they handle the sample which has to be frozen. The main test is 25 hydroxy Vitamin D. I had that and also the 1, 25 hydroxy Vitamin D. Sherry
  5. That seems to fit the picture.
  6. Welcome, Calicoe! I am glad you have received help here and hope you stay and keep posting. We have learned so much from each other. I was allergic to almost everything early on in my illness. Looking back it was probably lyme that tipped the scale, but I am guessing the celiac goes way back too. I limped along by learning to be careful about foods...
  7. Sounds like a fascinating book.
  8. Nora, Stephen Buhner's book on Lyme Disease probably gives some explanation about what to do with the herb. Sherry
  9. Nope but I get insomnia from them. Sherry
  10. The receipe I use is in the SCD book. Thanks for the well wishes. I hope its fine too, not too worried as he said it looked benign. Sherry
  11. Yes it takes awhile, several weeks at least. I started on 2000, went to 6000 then to 10,000. It is important to test and then to re-test to monitor the levels so they don't get too high. Sherry
  12. Corn chips sound good but are not in the cards for me...at least for a long time. But I am really enjoying the muffins made with almond flour. I'm not keen on almond flavoring, but these don't taste like almonds. I survived the colonoscopy yesterday, the worst part was the prep--and not the cramps and BR activity. Why am I surprised? I was fatigued...
  13. I took this for quite awhile, didn't notice much change. Then went off it last winter when I didn't test well for it iwth ART. Sherry
  14. I am taking 10,000 iu per day. Sherry
  15. That's great that it all went well. I'm so glad you could be there for that, and a nice beach time too. Sherry
  16. I'd say it is certainly one of my symptoms. However, I had that from childhood off and on so I am not sure of the amount that is due to lyme. Pain has been my primary lyme symptom. Joint/muscle/nerve. The key that my LLMD picked up on was that the pain shifted around in location. Sherry
  17. In the Doctor's Data 24 hr urine amino acids here's the low ones (this was from January). I've just summarized, in the results they are broken down into categories: Ammonia 7940 (range 12000-56000) Methionine 13 (8-50) Leucine 26 (24-120) Isoleucine 8.7 (10-60) Taurine 51 (220-1420 Cysteine 16 (25-84) Arginine 12 (8-60) Alanine 160(130-659) Aspartate...
  18. Yes, I had testing. The key test to show this was Rosmed (they have several tests). There's not much available online about that, unless you read German. The English website transfers you to the German website. Here's what is included in my results but I can't find the requisition form that says the name of the panel which was $199: Stool-flora (bacteroides...
  19. So you aren't gluten-free? Seems like that could be pretty important. Celiac testing would be obvious, but I'm guessing you have done that?
  20. Thanks Julie, I hope that you are doing better as well. I keep hoping that all the changes you have made will even help the monthly flares ultimately. Actually I have been symptomatic again since yesterday afternoon. Not sure why. Rachel, I have a question about mercury and wonder if this could explain my symptoms. I took my DMPS shot last Tuesday...
  21. Rachel, I don't get most of those links...but I did look at them, LOL! I am really looking forward to getting my SAM/SAH results because that's part of the picture too. But yeah, I'm on the low cysteine end, and seem to handle sulfur to a certain point. Sherry
  22. I've had this done, more than once I think. Last winter's showed a number of deficiencies and we've been treating. Sherry
  23. The stories on the www.pecanbread.com website had me in tears, all the ASD kids improving on the SCD. But some of the most striking to me has been the bipolar people improving. I've read that on the gluten-free forum here too. One the stories I read today was a grandmother with Asperger's all her life, with major improvements on the SCD--and wishing she...
  24. Donna, I am so glad you finally know and have a plan. While I am sorry for the precancerous confirmation, all the other things sound really positive and maybe helping reduce the anxiety a bit. So glad it is slow growing so that you have time to make a decision you are comfortable with. Is this a type of cancer that is common in celiacs? Sherry
  25. Jin, sounds like baby steps are being taken in the right direction. I'm glad you found Dr. D. Sherry
