  1. You could borrow mine, but all of mine have passed on . . . my story about the exboyfriend was over 20 years ago . . . amazing, huh, since I'm only 28 . . . 32 . . .? . . . with their number one hit Don't Lick Egg Shells.
  2. Well Said!
  3. Woof! I used to get eggs from my grandparent's farm (they're free that way!!!) My college boyfriend didn't want to eat them - thought they would taste funny since they were brown. He asked me what color they were on the inside. I took him out to my grandparents farm on one of my trips home. (He was a city boy - lived north of Chicago...
  4. My husband and I got married on Anguilla. We invited everyone - of course knowing that not many would come. We had a total of 14 family members and friends come to the wedding. It was even in the Catholic church there. (We went through all the precana requirements in my home parish). We had lots of friends having big weddings with all the nightmares...
  5. Key Lime . . . . mmmmm (insert drool emoticon here) Apple (preferably my mom's) Lemon Merengue (sp?) In that order . . . I could list more if you want . . . not that I think about pie too often.
  6. Nope - Joeyfool is right. It's Wee as in little kiddies. Not the Wee that is ever present in our thread. Joy - If your biopsy said DH - I don't think you have to have a blood test. Can anybody back me up on that? Is that right? Do you know what your skin biopsy said? And as you leave, make sure you get a copy of any tests they've done (whether...
  7. Well, it's nice to know he's got a payin' gig once he's done painting everyone's ceilings and working a few birthday parties. BTW - I think they must have done some retouching on the photo shoot. Don't you think he looks younger and slimmer?
  8. Hmmmm, I wonder if he knows how to do face painting and make balloon animals?
  9. Not that I've had to clean up. The boarding kennel owner tells me that she peed in her kennel when we boarded her over Thanksgiving. That's why we pay them the big bucks - to clean up her dog wee. I'm not sure why she does that. We don't have any problems at home. I wonder if it's because the inside kennel (concrete floor) looks just like the outside...
  10. Don't know how many kids are involved and if you want to even do this . . . but gluten-free pancakes are great and virtually indistiguishable from the regular. Most sausage is gluten-free, too. Would your pricipal be willing to make it an entirely gluten-free breakfast? And Yay for your smart (gluten-free) cookie making the honor roll!
  11. None of the Brach's candy is safe - I assume it's something in their manufacturing process (flour on the line to keep stuff from sticking?) Wal-Mart's candy corn is safe. I think Target's is too. If you've got favorites that you have a hard time giving up, you need to post in the cooking/baking or products sections. There is so much experience...
  12. GAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! Oh that's perfect!!!!! I couldn't have done better if I tried!!! <Must petition Scott for spell check on the board.> Yes.

  14. My kids like the Envirokids Amazon Frosted Flakes and Gorilla Munch. Although, Fruity Pebbles is their current favorite right now.
  15. doyenne noun a woman who is the senior member of a group Oh . . . OK . . . Hey Emily, Susie just called you old!
  16. Must go to dictionary.com now to look up this strange and foreign word . . . doyenne?
  17. STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!!!! There is absolutely NOTHING fun or silly about GRAMMER!!! You guys can transfer this conversation to the "Can't get a date because I correct the English of all my suiters" thread.

    ARCHIVED Diagnosis

Joy, I would ask what blood test they are doing. DH by itself is a positive diagnosis for Celiac. Plus, you have already started a gluten free diet which may affect a blood screening. I would want to know what she is testing? We were told by a nurse practitioner. However, we didn't even know they were testing my daughter for Celiac disease so...
  19. Amanda - - - Oh My Gawd . . . use a few big words with some fancy versions of the spelling and that makes us experts!!! OK, so maybe Emily is . . . Hell, maybe you all are . . . but I sure AIN'T!!! The Grammer Bible???!!!!??? That's what the grammer (and spell) check in MicroSoft Word is for!!!! (<---Note: ending a sentence with a preposition...
  20. Pancakes/Waffles are the preferred breakfast item at our house. On the weekends I make a huge batch and freeze the leftovers (separated with wax paper). Nuke the pancakes and toast the waffles to heat up as needed. Peanut Butter instead of syrup will give you some protein to stick with you longer. My daughter's favorit lunch (she would have it everyday...
  21. Amanda - I had to go and google and educate myself a little. Of course, we can't really tell what's going on from our computers, but let the experts take a look tomorrow. It may be an injection site reaction. And in my little bit of reading, I found that a positive test is not positive all by itself. It means further testing is required. Don't get ahead...
  22. Why Emily!!!! You've successfully quoted three (count 'em, three) different people! We're all so proud of you!
  23. I think we did pretty good . . . hard to tell since my daughter is a silent celiac (I think . . . we can't possibly have gone this long without an accidental glutening). Thanksgiving was at my Mom&Dad's. I brought a safe turkey breast to cook & share. The ham was safe (which I also cooked). I feel like I was the drill sargent in the kitchen...
  24. My daughter's one and only symptom that sent us to the doctor was (and still is) acid reflux. Her reflux sounds similar to your son's - she spits up a mouthful and that's it. It got better but did not go away completely with Prevacid. The ped GI was positive it was going to be eosinophilic esophagitis which is an allergic reaction in the esophagus. It...
  25. Well, of course not! But I'm pretty sure staying home to chat with the sillies will be considered an unexcused absence. Now, if you can somehow sustain a concusion . . . didn't happen to play Sunday Night Football, did ya?
