    I buy the Kraft carmels, melt them and add milk. Works great here. That's how I finally got my kids to eat apples slices with the peel on them. I wouldn't peel them when we had the carmel dip and they wanted the dip so bad they were willing to eat them that way. Now they eat them that way all the time.

    Yes, French's fried onions have wheat. Also, I tried the Health Valley Cream of Chicken and thought it was nasty . . . don't know about the cream of mushroom but I would stick with the Progresso since it's mainstream.

    My husband's office has collected leftover (and whatever you can pry out of your children's hands) Halloween candy. They send it to Operation Gratitude.     I have thought about doing this also . . . just to bring in a little extra. Don't forget yardsales. Sometimes people just want it out of their house and sell for a song.     I'm trying the no boil method next time. Last time (which was first time gluten-free) I precooked the noodles to the soft stage. I didn't mean to, I just got distracted. The taste was great, but as expected, the noodles fell apart.

    Where are you looking? It's not on the front of the package. It's at the bottome of the ingredient list but it is written in large print. (At least, that's where it is on the important items in my pantry . . . the au gratin potatos, chocolate chips, and gummy worms )

    Just wanted to point out that immediate family members are never really in the clear. You can be diagnosed at any age and you should plan on regular screenings . . . unless you've already taken her gluten free. My kid's GI had this to say about bloodwork: Lots of kids have false negatives because the limits were established based on data from adult patients...
