  1. Hmmm - I'm pretty sure it was 4 tbsp. It pressed in OK - not as "sticky" as when I used grahm crackers in the past. I did cook it. I didn't know if I needed more sticky (sugar) or more moisture (butter). Sounds like the consensus is more butter.
  2. I know it won't decrease once you've pumped and stored it. The article that I linked (and ruthla ) both say you don't have to pump and dump unless you need to because you are uncomfortably full. The alcohol in your breast milk (while it is STILL IN your breast) will diffuse back into your blood stream. As your alcohol level goes down, so does the...
  3. I'll just throw my question into the ring . . . I tried to make my crust based on my old grahm cracker crust recipe. I used cookies and I cut the sugar in half and kept the same amount of butter. The taste was just fine but the crust didn't stick together. It was just crumbs underneath my filling. Do your crusts stick together? Do you think I need...
  4. Once you've watched that link, Open Original Shared Link makes more sense. Yes . . . that's what I was thinking . . . I guess that's the American interpretation!

    YaY!!! Thanks, Scott!
  7. No passport needed. Mythical creatures are exempt . . . no pockets . . . plus, they look silly carrying a purse.
  8. Carbo-loading . . . just like the marathoners!
  9. It's called the day after Christmas.
  10. Believe me when I say . . . It is really easy for me to NOT go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. Plus, I like to have most everything done by then . . . otherwise, I get panicky that I'm not going to get it all done! This is the ONE thing that totally goes against my typically procrastinating nature. It's after midnight . . . I'm turning into a...
  11. Dagnabbit . . . you beat me to the demented punch line!!!! Edit: <grumble, grumble . . . I was here first . . . that's what I get for quoting four people . . . had to split Peter's post . . . multiple previews to get the spacing just right . . . shoulda just slapped any old thing in the post and let 'er rip . . .grumble>
  12. Well, Maggie (the dog) was in my av awhile back. I just assumed everyone saw/remebered her. But just to clarify . . . we never let our children play with lathes and we never let our children snack on cat poo! Make sure you get his work schedule! And did he have his shirt on? Bah!!! I ended with a preposition! Try again . . . ...
  13. Angie, Here is an article/table to show how long it takes to clear alcohol out of your system for breastfeeding mothers. Get your glasses, the print size in the table is tiny! Open Original Shared Link
  14. This is Les' day, right? Happy 83rd, Les! (hope I got that right 'cause I'm not going back to look it up ) OK, so here is the absolute worse thing, I've EVER had to clean up. My previous old girl, Maggie, had a (sweet?) tooth for cat poo. The neighbors behind us have a cat that comes and uses our mulch as a litter box. When Maggie was younger, it...

Me too. Scott, is there a reason the default font size is now size 1? (For those following along, previously it was 2.)
  16. Ahhh . . . so pull my finger has successfully crossed the pond!
  17. Oh Amanda!!! You just don't offer your finger until you're really struggling to hold one back!!
  18. Congratulations on your pregnancy. As Fiddle-Faddle's link said, people with DS are more likely to have celiac disease. I believe that it is recommended that they be screened on a regular basis reguardless of whether there is any family history. You didn't say it like this, but I have not heard of a link where someone with celiac disease is more...
  19. Also, keep in mind that if they are in the US and stick out said index finger, someone might pull it execting to be entertained with flatulence.
  20. I know you've specifically called out snot, but I think you should also be prepared for an avalanche of boogers/bugers.
  21. Wow!!! That's a big one! Perhaps a pre-emptive call to 911 is in order.
  22. Shhhhh! Lisa's here. Behave. Her toaster-poster alarm went off and she's come to check on us.
  23. Twern't Annie . . . No, it was the wee green fairey (step sister to the tooth fairey).
  24. So you found out . . . the big secret is shortly after your 500th post, you will get to clean up vomit. I'm not really sure how this works out . . . kind of like the same way all those chain emails work where they tell you that 5 minutes after you pass on the email to 38 of your closest friends, something really funny will show up on your computer. But...
