    Do you think it's possible that he's confusing it with micronized glutamine? When I was trying to google it, that's where the search engine was trying to take me. When my daughter first went gluten free, I "heard" that they were working on gluten free wheat . . . . . . not really sure what it was really suppose to be. I wish I could find the source...

    When I make cookies (reguardless of which flour blend I use), I do one pan with only one or two test cookies to see if they spread too much. To compensate for spreading, you can add a bit more flour or refrigerate for a little while and use cold dough.

    I was Underwhelmed as well. I'll finish this box and then just use the Pamela's mix. I did use it to make that cheeseburger pie and that came out pretty good...but I only used two eggs as I thought what they recommended would turn out too eggy.     I haven't looked at a bag recently. I know they did contain wheat. They may have reformulated. General Mills has done that on some of their products (as in the chex cereals) so they may have done it here, too. General Mills will list any gluten ingredients in their ingredient list. Go by the packaging vs the website . . . and you could always call them...

    Nahhhhh . . . twas just the script, not the drugs. If'n it had been the drugs I would have been majorly p.o.'d as this stuff is about a hundred bucks a bottle which lasts about 5 to 6 weeks.     Well, I made a little progress today. Kids are pretty much done. It's the adults that don't need anything that I'm having problems with . . . my Dad, my FIL, my step-MIL, and my MIL . . . and since they're "big" kids, if I don't get it done by Christmas, nobody will be crying.     Here's a list of alternative flours with my own personal opinion White rice flour - finest grind you can find will make all the difference in the end product - I buy my white rice flour from Asian Markets as they are a finer grind and much cheaper. Brown rice flour - same comment as far as grind goes - I buy Authentic Foods fine ground brown rice flour...
