  3. We had a 2-hr delay. Hubby and I worked on drive last night . . . this was after we paid someone a pile of money to salt and plow it (he told us it would take at least 2 applications but we weren't willing to pay that much). . . we wouldn't have stood a chance if he hadn't got a start for us but we still only got about half done. Side walk (to the...
  4. Just got back from my friend's house . . . five houses away . . . both kids fell during the walk. I looked quite geriatric as I shuffled, but I did not fall. I have no idea what's going to happen with school tomorrow. Sidewalks/bus stops are solid ice . . . as are most of the roads in my neighborhood. Thru roads are fine and dandy. What a busy day...
  5. Hubby reported that roads are good . . . not sure why we didn't have school, but I haven't been out of the house since Monday. Could be walkways and loading/unloading zones at schools. Kids are "officially" bored. We're walking down to the neighbors in a bit for some fresh air and fresh faces. Having problems with one of my tires . . . tis really low...
  6. . . . yeah, I saw him, too!! . . . No, our vehicles are safely iced stuck parked in our garage. We're out tomorrow as well . . . that kind of surprised me . . . at least the fact that they have already called it. 7. Cool tunnel!!! . . . Karen, is it big enough to make a tunnel for the car to get out of the drive thru? Hubby keeps going out and hacking at the drive and them coming back in to say he can't make a dent then going back out to hack at the drive . . . etc . . . he's talking about using the ax . . . hope I can get him to the ER when he has a heart attack...
  8. Hubby just tried to do some shoveling . . . he DID get a layer off so that we can get the back door open to let JoDog out to take cake of bidness. I asked if he was going to try the driveway next <snort>. . . it ain't happenin'. I don't think we got as much as they predicted, but what we got is bad enough . . . sleet fused together with ice ....

Here is it's list of ingredients: INGREDIENTS: TOMATO PUREE (WATER, TOMATO PASTE), WATER, COOKED RICE, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, WHEAT FLOUR, DICED TOMATOES IN TOMATO JUICE, CONTAINS LESS THAN 2% OF THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS: SALT, VEGETABLE OIL (CORN, COTTONSEED, CANOLA AND/OR PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN), CITRIC ACID,...
  12. It's 30 degrees and raining...Snow doesn't bother me (other than our neighborhood's cheapass policy of waiting for the city to come through to clear the streets which can take up to 72 hours). I don't have a problem driving in/on snow. Ice is a different story. I'll just stay home thank you veddy much. Glad M's butt is safe . . . do you bubble wrap...
  13. Ummm . . . . . . not me . . . actually, the school decides what we will do. If this all really happens (cuz sometimes it doesn't actually happen), I predict we'll be out of school at least two days.
  14. Yeah . . . sounds like fun . . . here's our official forcast for tonight & tomorrow . . . . . . CareIn, are you getting the sleet and ice, too? Tonight: Lo: 22
  15. Ummmm . . . . . . what does lung actually look like when you're coughing up little pieces at a time?
  16. And save your mistakes for bread crumbs or homemade croutons or bread for stuffing . . . buying premade gluten free bread crumbs is expensive, too - might as well get something out of the mishaps

    ARCHIVED Oatmeal?

Also, if you are going to give gluten free oatmeal a try, it's usually best to wait until you've been gluten free for a while (my daughter's doc recommended 6 months). Then you've had a chance to heal so you would be less likely to react and also to learn the diet so that if you have a problem, you are better able to determine if it was the oatmeal.
  19. I can understand wanting to document the struggles and triumphs of transitioning to a gluten free diet. If your family and friends follow your blog, then perhaps they'll be able to grasp how serious someone with celiac disease has to adhere to the diet. They'll also see how easy it is to mess it up if you aren't diligent about reading labels and following...
  20. as opposed to the males without the penii??
  21. OK . . . obviously too much vomit talk. I was perusing some of the other threads and instead of reading "Am I Barking up the Wrong Tree" . . . I read . . . you know where this is going . . . "Am I Barphing up the Wrong Tree" . . . and thought . . .they're probably standing when they barph up a tree . . . followed by . . . I hope they can put an arch on...

Let's add some suction!!! Strep is short for streptococcus which is a type of bacteria . . . <said in my I know how to google authoritative voice>
