  12. Not knowing all the details . . . how long you've been gluten free, what items are making you sick . . . First, you do need to make sure the product is gluten free. Evaluate the possibility that it may be cc'd during the manufacturing process. That being said, as you are healing, some products may be particualary iritating to your system, and quite...
  13. Dang!!! Looks like Patti's cat-like reflexes beat me to the punch.
  14. Maltodextrin is not the same as malt. It is a highly processed starch. In the US, it is derived from potato or corn. If it was derived from wheat, it would have to be called out per labeling laws. Google "maltodextrin gluten free" and loads of info will come up. Likewise, modified food starch is also gluten free unless it is derived from wheat and...

  21. I have never seen any sort of percentage attributed to processing in the same facility or line. Could you please provide a link/source for your information? We've had fruity pebbles here without any (gluten) issues. However, I do limit the amount because both of my children have reacted (when they were younger) to food dye, so in general, I just...
  22. Heard one at the bus stop . . . wear pink sweats and tie a shoe to the top of yer head . . . then you're bubble gum stuck to the bottom of a shoe. Hub could walk around chewing big wads of gum and blowing bubbles. If he wanted to be more authentic, he could actually spit his gum out on the floor of your BIL's house and stick some under the coffee table...

Homemade chex mix with peanuts if you can, otherwise without. You can also make "rice crispy" type treats with rice chex instead of the more expensive gluten-free versions of rice...
