  1. Who was having lunch wif somebody that had FB problems?? Em, was that you?? I'm looking for the details. What happened? Friends down the street are getting a golden retriever pup in two weeks . . . so we will be able to partake in the joys of a new puppy (romping wif abandon and puppy kisses) without the misery of a new puppy (bedtime whining,...
  2. I was going to say the same thing . . . Did the allergist do a blood test for Celiac? Did the GI? What test? The endoscopy? If you have Celiac and you still have damage and symptoms, then you really need to take a look at whether you are truly gluten free. If any of the testing you had done "recently" was a blood test, and it was positive...
  3. Hi Kathy, Lots of good suggestions above. I would go through everything with a fine tooth comb . . . food and toiletries and possible cross-cantamination. . . keep in mind that formulas change on a regular basis so that something that was gluten free when you checked 6 months ago may no longer be gluten free now. Does she eat anything from her school...
  4. Ummmm . . . . . . because now they're only hammered every so often??? . . . Just back from a baby shower . . . I was the "help" . . . much running back and forth between my house and the neighbors, fetching and cooking . . . we're gonna spike the punch later after the "baby" goes home.
  5. Nope . . . not stupid at all. Tapioca Starch and Tapioca Flour are the same. Potato Starch and Potato Flour are not . . . plus several different kinds of rice flour . . . yes, it can get confusing!
  6. We vacationed at Lake Michigan. Here is the convict story . . . Open Original Shared Link They kept having sightings within a mile of where we were staying . . . as late as yesterday even. The place we were staying even had pictures up and were putting out warnings to keep all doors and windows locked and to stay in groups . . . makes for quite a relaxing...
  7. Thought you were going to say . . . "Taste like chicken civkerb". . .
  8. Hi Becci . . . welcome to the silly thread . . . where madness reigns . . . wait . . . does anybody remember who's in charge raining reigning now? Becci . . . you must hurry and read the some-odd 2000 pages. We are no longer singing jingles, we are talking about vacations with clogged toilets, kitchen remodels wif small-thumbed workers, and kindergarten...
  9. Ooooooooh . . . I'm interested in this info also. Me BIL lives in Virginia. I was thinking that on an upcoming trip, we would go visit us some ponies. He is. Well, that's all I can standz to quote . . . tis quite cumbersome on this labtop, probably cuz I don't ever use it. Some old bizzness to take care of . . . Love this...
  10. WIH!!!! Blocked toilet here as well. Has someone cursed we vacationers??? Come on, fess up. Who's holdin' the voodoo dolls?
  11. Cumbersome to split post on the labtop so . . . will just have to say the whole thing was heelarryus. Mimms, loved yer priceless post as well. . . . and fan-parking-tastic poetry. We're here!!! I just want to say the Lake Michigan is phreakin' phreezing . . . hope the pool is warmer. Fish are really biting . . . but they all seem...

I'll try to check in . . . I hear this place has wireless and we're taking our laptop . . . Smakl calls it a labtop
  13. Thanks for the reply guys. I should have come back a little while ago and posted our review . . . yeah, we decided to go ahead and give it a try without hearing from anyone first. I usually try everything that I give my daughter, but I didn't get a chance. My kids scarfed them down. My son (not Celiac and not gluten free) thought they were the best...
  14. It would have been better if he had stayed on it for the blood test . . . but my guess is that you still have a chance of a positive test. Probably a bigger issue than the five days off gluten is that it can be hard to get a positive blood test for toddlers . . . the info that floats around this board a lot is that kids under the age of three have a...
  15. I'm with Tim on this one. I bought one that wasn't programmable but had a gluten free setting. Then we figured out that we prefered the Pamela's mix which uses just the standard white bread setting . . . go figure. One of the other bread mixes that I used did the same thing . . . just used the standard setting. I do use the bread machine though. With...
  16. There is so much potential in this post . . . but I'm drawing a blank . . . it escapes me. I want to point this out now so that when I post at 3am with the perfect response, you'll know how hard I had to work on it . . . perhaps I should start tugging me hair. Selective quoting . . . Patti appears to be very proud of herself for keeping her...

  18. Getting ready for vaca today . . . currently making chex mix, got laundry going, suitcases open . . . oh, and my friend is dropping her kids off in about 10 minutes so that I can babysit. Will make cookies after the chex mix is done. Other than that, not much going on. Lisa . . . WIH!! . . . glad things are looking better . . . AND . . ...

  20. Wait . . . What?? . . . Do we know who Derek is?? . . . and if we do, somebody needs to remind me.
  21. Tis a very controversial subject . . . Wheat is listed as an igredient. Testing shows gluten level is OK for Celiacs. CC in restaraunts is always a possibility. It comes down to a personal decision. We eat the fries . . . and haven't had any problems.
  22. Estaban . . . wish he could do something with my hair!!! I'm getting it cut tonight. I hate my hair . . . I'm growing it out of its current style and it's in a realy ugly awkward stage . . . but at least it's not orange. Susie . . . you need to move to better . . . cooler . . . rainier . . . climes!!! Apparently Kit needs to, too.
  23. Tis an annual pitch-in dinner . . . you are welcome to stay at my house (Hell, I'll even pick you up from the airport), but you MUST bring a dish to share at the dinner!!! No gettin' around. Them's the rules!! I had a kitty wif a small head . . . I found her dumped on a busy road . . . I always thought that she was malnourished as a wee kitteh...
