    First, if you have gone gluten free, the only test that will be valid is the gene testing. Once you've gone glute free, you quit producing the antibodies and your villi will start healing.     I wouldn't do it . . . it will make it too "doughy" even though it's cooked. I've never seen it in a recipe where it was a major component.

    My daughter's GI recommended waiting until all of her symptoms resolved (OK, she only had one but it took a while to go away completely) before trying oats. Then try a safe (gluten-free) brand and only a small amount and wait awhile before trying it again. You may have done too much in a too short of a period of time. Have all your previous symptoms resolved...

    Nope . . . they've already got an apartment lined up. Plus when FIL is in town, he prefers to stay at a hotel . . . he likes his privacy/down time.     Step-MIL is arriving in approximately 5 hours . . . kids still don't know about the probable move and we don't plan on telling them until their house sells. Their real estate agent thinks it'll take about two months. Not sure how we're going to explain Grandma's visit, though.
