  1. We've had them. Here is the review from this house: My son (not Celiac) LOVED them. Prefers them to Bell & Evans. My daughter (Celiac) thought they were OK but prefers Bell & Evans. I thought they were good. I thought the outside coating was very good/tasty - better than the B&E. However, they are a processed/ground chicken (know...
  2. WHOT????!!!! Peter!!!!! Give Morton his phoot back!!! RIGHT NOW!!!!
  3. Oh . . . did you mean . . . am I ready for my husband to go into some kind of long-term, zoned-out, glued-to-his-chair, "what-do-you-mean-can-I-help-trim-the-bushes-today-can't-you-see-I'm-busy?", nonresponsive state? . . . yeah Hiya Tom <little hand wave that you can't see because you can't take your eyes of yer TV>
  4. As Pattae woud say . . . true dat. Ummmmm . . . I wouldn't really call it a problem . . . Yeah . . . that's why we keep discussing it, to try and figger it out. I definitely store clean clothes in the dryer . . .
  5. Kaki, Just wanted to let you know that the "good guys" are out there. My BIL's girlfriend has Celiac Disease and my BIL loves to cook for her. He considers it a challenge to perfect recipes for them to both eat and enjoy. If your ex couldn't handle a challenge such as this then he is not someone you want to spend any more time with. Go find yourself...
  6. Oh, Sleezan wasn't talking about these signs?
  7. Kind of depends who you else you are sharing it with and how responsible they are . . . My 8 year old is the Celiac. My 10 year old loves his regular crackers. Since it's kids involved (although I think it's a good idea anyway), I have made the pantry completely gluten free. My daughter can open that door and have anything she wants in it. I...
  8. Alright . . . I've succumbed to peer pressure and put up a picture of one of my feets . . . See, I think a little polish would help detract from the fact that I need to shave my legs.
  9. . . . because when she watches herself in the mirror when she says "BOO-ger", she is not at all pleased with how it looks . . .
  10. We've been at this for almost 2 1/2 years. There was one time were my daughter had a true reaction and I found out later that she had recieved something with wheat in it (listed as an ingredient on the package) at school. A handful of times that she said her stomach was upset . . . didn't last long and no other symptoms. One of these times was after eating...
  11. GAHHHHHH!!!!!! How bad is it that I know the answer?? . . . . . . teamwork HiYa kaki . . . we've moved passed the jingles/songs . . . It's been a couple thousand pages . . . but welcome to the madness of the psilly thread. Just jump right in, the water's fine. Em . . . demented, big, sick mouse . . .
  12. Suze . . . I think I've said this before . . . please don't send me Celiac Disease . . . although sometimes (like tonight) I think I may have it. Emmel doesn't need any more Celiac Disease . . . you can only get it once you know. Now . . . a Celiac Disease burner?? . . . is that some sort of new therapy?? .. ...sounds like it would hurt...
  13. If you are looking for the concentrated stuff . . . Herb-ox bouillon cubes are safe. Mine even says gluten free on the outside. Can't remember where I got it but it was a regular grocery store or a Super Wal-Mart. Also, Better Than Bouillon is good, too. This comes as a paste and you have to refrigerate the unused portion. Also found at a regular...
  14. Oh Slutvana, you crack me up!! . . . and I'll just defer my feet picture to Raechull's . . . sounds 'bout the same. On a side note . . . a long, long time ago (before children) in a land far, far away (Cincinnati), the crowd that hubby and I ran around with had a standing policy. If you left your camera unsupervised, we would take several pictures...
  15. The Wellshire corn dogs . . . actually labeled "gluten-free" on the packaging . . . was the only thing that has gotten my daughter (not counting the time where she had something that had wheat listed as an ingredient - Doh!!)
  16. Mine too.
  17. Still here . . . just no psillie . . . only boring, depressing things happening in my life right now, it will turn around soon. I was gone over Labor Day . . . back to Dad's to work on clearing stuff out of the house. I thought I would be able to get on the computer a couple of times and keep up but he worked us like dogs. Even hubby . . . God Bless Him...
  18. I only tried it in the machine once and I just wanted to report that I had the same experience as you.
  19. Keep in mind that the original post was from 2004 . . . not likely that the op is still watching this thread.
  20. I find reading the labels of the companies that do not hide the gluten in their ingredient lists perfectly adequate for maintaining a gluten free diet for my daughter. We do not find it necessary to only use products from dedicated lines. I understand that extremely sensitive celiacs do not have that luxury. Also keep in mind that any disclosure of manufacturing...
  21. OK, we have a screened-in porch that has just been there for the seven years we have lived in this house. Last fall we bought some nice wicker furniture to put on it. Now we would like to actually use the porch. The previous owners put down some hideous blue-green indoor-outdoor carpet over the plywood flooring. We discussed whether we would try to turn...
  22. Amanda, is it coming from the garbage disposal?? I did this . . . Open Original Shared Link . . . and it helped mine out immensely. Only needed to do the soap one and it cleared up. Give it a try before you pay a plumber $90 just to ring the doorbell . . . actual work costs more!!! OK . . . no silly . . . just checkin' in to say "hey". Hope you sold...
  23. Hi Ghtommn, good to see you!!! So if we want to see you more often, we need to be talkin' song lyrics?? Shel Silverstein is one of Skeeter's favourite authors but did nae know about "A Boy named Sue".
  24. Just a suggestion for something to try . . . my friend always buys her favorite coffee in both decaf and full? caf versions. Then she mixes the two at home so that her coffee has half the caffeine.
