  1. No. If I use water, I just run it tepid. If I use milk, I just take it straight out of the fridge! I've never forgot the vinegar, but once I read it wrong and added the vinegar in TBS instead of tsp! Thought it would ruin, but turned out fine. I actually sub the flax with another gluten-free flour bc my kids don't care for the taste of it...
  2. Yeah, like does it make you dizzy, give you a headache etc.... after staring at it for hours on end? That's what happens when I try to read stuff on the compter. DH says the kindle is supposed to read like the pages of a book and not a computer screen, but i dunno... And if I knew the bread wouldn't get destroyed in shipping, I'd send y'all a loaf! ...
  3. Good weekend! Took the kiddo's to Oaks Park amusement park for Maddie's bday. DH refused to get a ride bracelett which forced me to go on all the rides wif the kids. I only felt my breakfast once, breathed thru it and didn't decorate any rides It was actually a lot of phun! Cleaned out closets, baked an obscene amount of zucchini bread, which I...
  4. Another quicky I make at night and reheat in the morning is this: In a 9x13 pan-spray with cooking spray Dump in a bag of frozen potatoes o'brian, spread out Beat 12 eggs Pour over potatoes as evenly as possible If you do dairy, sprinke shredded cheddar cheese on top I like sliced tomatoes on top of that Season with salt/pepper (I like Mrs. Dash...

  6. My dd was diagnosed when she was 4, right after our son was born. She was totally fine, then BAM, stomach cramps constantly I believed my son had some form of Autism up until he was 2 1/2. He had tested negative at 2, but started chronic D at 2 1/2. I took him off of gluten just to see what happened and he did a complete 180. It's like the "autistic...
  7. I found it in 'Celiac Disease - Related Disorders & Research' with no replies. Thats probaby why it doesn't pop up under New Content
  8. my kids are and I use gluten-free products. my makeup is Everyday Minerals, lip gloss is Neutogena, shampoo and conditioner are Dove. A lot of what I use is from Unilever, it makes it easy when reading labels
  9. My DD has done it again. She's cunning that one. Her birthday is on Saturday and I asked her what she wanted. She said there were only 2 things that she really, really wanted: a puppy and her ears pierced. That's all she wanted... We had told her before that no dog until she's at least 10 and no ear piercing until she's 12.... She's getting her...
  10. I agree--Diabetes and heart disease go hand in hand. Smoking is the #1 cause of stroke and heart attack. Put the 2 together and it is pretty much a death sentence. I do NOT say this at all to be mean or callus in any way. These are the people I work with, what I went to school for, the people I try to help every day. If he makes any changes in his...

  12. I agree! Only 1 breakfast was eaten out and that was on the way to the airport. Great experience there too. Think the name was Sam Choy's Breakfast Lunch and Crab Most places served steamed rice with everything, so the kids had scrambled eggs and rice-which they had to try with jam . Kenlove was a huge help, I also did research before, but actually, all...
  13. I came home with a sty in my eye. Sure it had nuphin to do wif the Spam, but maybe if I woulda tried it, the crazy pig gods wouldn't have caused me this much pain! My right eye is effed-up!
  14. Took the fam to Oahu for 8 days and we had the BEST time! We had a kitchen in our condo and I did bake 2 loaves of bread to bring with us as well as bringing lots of snacky food and cereal. We hit Whole Foods, Costco and Foodland grocery, stocked up on a few perishable staples and snacks and off we went! I made sure I always had snacks and PBJ sandwiches...
  15. I'm Baaaaaaaack!!!! Boo!! Not Boo to be back to psillie-ville, but Boo to being back in the cold, rainy PNW Looks like I missed a lot! Boils, shingles, smashed boobies, alcohol induced vomiting (tequilla), chicken induced vomitting:huh: moving, refinancing, expensive antiques, Ripper wisdom, and pizza jobs among a few! I guess I must stay...
  16. Soooo happy you two were able to meet up!!! We are at the most amazing beach, drove all the way out here to see the sunset, which is about to happen! Maddie was swimming with the sea turtles and eels, had to drag her from the water. Conversation went like this: Me: Maddie, I can see your nipples. Max: Nickels? Where are her nickels? Me: No...

  18. We're at the airport!!!! WooHoo! Get this though.....so we had to book our tickets separately because we each have companion tickets. 20. Heelooow! Got most of the ink outta the carpet, but I ran out of hairspry, so I will have to pick up some more. It was a banner day here... Still too hot to do a damned thing. Too hot to even do a bit of tanning for my trip-although I'm all about the sunscreen!! We walked Max to school at 8:30 this morning and I was sweating up a storm! So he had his...

  22. It went great! I talked to the manager and he was really helpful and told me exactly how everything was prepared to prevent cross contamination. It cost 10.50 for a 10 inch hawaiian pizza. Both kids shared and we had pieces left over to bring home. I watched both kids like a hawk, and with dd being so extremely sensitive, there was no reaction! We'll...
