  1. Hi Angel, I have three beautiful, healthy daughters. I always had trouble with my stomach, anemia, and fatigue, but no one knew it was Celiac. I'm 43 years old and was just diagnosed last year. My three daughters are 18, 16, and 14 years old. So far, two out of three have been tested and are not positive for Celiac. I had normal pregnancies and deliveries...
  2. Hi everyone, I'm going nuts looking for a good recipe or a brand of bread that I can buy to use for sandwiches and veggie burgers. Does anyone have anything that they really like and would like to recommend? Thanks.
  3. Hi Joni, I've read a lot of the Hershey labels (I love chocolate ), and I still am not sure on some of them! I've resorted to emailing them about which candy was gluten free. I got a reply a few days ago. The answer didn't really tell me anything!!!!! All they said was that the label would state wheat if the product contained any. Well what about barley...

  5. I drink lots of water and take Mylanta. As far as eating, I eat small amounts of rice throught the day.
  6. I was diagnosed with Celiac in November. I had no problems with my periods at that time, but after being on the gluten free diet for a couple of months, I started having terrible cramps and pain before, during, and after my periods!! I only had a few days out of the month that I felt okay. The pain was similar to the scale of having contractions! Not only...

  10. Thanks for the rice recipe, it sounds good.
  11. If the label doesn't specify which type of food starch, I always call the company. The label could be an old one and not listing wheat as an ingredient.
  12. The envelope glue was most likely the problem. I have used the Miracle Whip for the past few months (I was diagnosed in November), and haven't had a problem. Try using envelope moistener, never lick!
  13. I became a vegetarian several years ago because I had so much trouble with my stomach. Whenever I ate meat, I always felt sick. Meat was just too "heavy" for my stomach. I had terrible acid reflux, barrett's esophagus, gastritis, colitis, and high cholesterol. The vegetarian diet seemed to be the way to go for me. I started feeling better with some of the...
  14. I think about cheating everyday! The first few months after my diagnosis, it was easy not to cheat because I was so sick. But after I started feeling better, I began to question the doctor "do I really have Celiac?" I started to cheat a little bit just to see what would happen. At first nothing happened. So I cheated a little now and then (I really felt...
