    I thought it would be more like a shot you give to little kids so they don't develop it later in life like the chicken pox vaccine and that is why i was confused. i know someone who has already found the gene and is now testing his pill(almost in pill form) on people in the Bay Area. his name is chaitan khloslav(sp?) and he lives in Palo Alto CAlifornia.

    I've never heard anything about that. I dunno if I just haven't heard of it. That would be really interesting but celiac disease is genitic and if you have the gene then you have it right? I don't know how a vaccine would kill the celiac disease gene.

    My 19 year old sister just started the diet and she says she never knew how sick she felt uuntil after starting the diet and feeeling SO much better. You could always have people in your family tested or just have them start the diet and see what happens if you are really curious.

    you should defenitley use all gluten-free household produccts. even if you don't have Dh they can still affect you skin. i get rashes and eczema from gluten when i just touch it. the heat might get ri out the gluten and it might not, you never want to take that risk, use all gluten-free

    The enzymes to digest dairy are on the tips of the villi and if you have been severly damaged by celiac then your villi will be destroyed and there will be no enzymes to digest dairy left. i am not sure if this will slow your recivery but if anything makes you sick, take it out of your diet

    Is she having olives in vinegar? if they are preserved then they may have gluten in them. If they are fresh olives(not from a jar) then they should be fine.

    I have heart diesease too! they found it out when they were trying to find out what was wrong with me when it was celiac. i have a five chambered heart but nothing is wrong with it. i actually just had an echo, they're not bad at all. they are actually good because they will tell you if something is wrong with you and that is better than finding out the hard...
