  1. Im going on an expedition when we go back to school and i need to get a tetnas shot before we go. We are also meant to have been given TB jabs in school last year but for some reason we didnt get one so i have to ask my doctor to give me one. We were wondering if either of them contain any hidden surprises, our biggest worry is of course gluten, although...
  2. thankyou, i hope your feeling better!
  3. I agree, i think they are genuine but they just dont listen most of the time, like the other day i was talking to chloe, i said i was frustrated because my mom keeps saying im loosing weight again and she just went "you probably are, you need to eat more lol"
  4. Thankyou, there are no suport groups for teens in my area, the only one we can find is for adults and is a long while away
  5. Thank you to everyone who has replied
  6. wow im sorry, my TTG (Tissue TransgluTaminase) was off the scale. In the UK the test only goes up to 200 and mine was over that. But my biopsy was negative. Luckily my doctors and dietitian do recognise that im a healthy weight, its just my so-called freinds that dont. Thankyou.
  7. Im not the best person in the world at being firm, im too scared to hurt people, but i will definatly take your advice and tell them to drop it
  8. Thanks for the tips. I do try to explain to my freinds about celiac, but most of the time i end up wanting throw something because all i get are comments like "I'd tell them to stuff it" (them meaning my doctors) and "I'd die if i couldnt eat cookies and pizza"
  9. I guess i never thought of it like that, sometimes they do seem genuinely concerned but other times i think they are teasing. Thankyou
  10. Thanks everyone, i really apreciate your support

  13. Im 15 years old and im a healthy wieght, but im really skinny, some of my freinds dont believe me when i tell them that im over 8 stone and two of them frequently make comments that im too skinny and even suggest im anorexic and its starting to get on my nerves. Im 163.4cm tall and weigh 8.4 stone, when i breathe in you can see my ribs and people say they...

    ARCHIVED Pain Relief

I know taking pills all the time isnt healthy, but its the only way i can sleep sometimes, and the pain isnt in the muscule, they (the doctors) think its bowel or ovary related. I probably should of said that, my bad, sorry. as for "Now start telling me about busy and time." , yea i am busy, i have my last year of school starting in september, but i always...
  18. After my recent camping trip (2 days walking with 1/4 of body wieght on my back), my already painful side/stomach has gotten worse (dont worry i got doctors permission before i went) ive got to go again in a few months and was wondering if any one knew of good pain relief, thats suitable for under 16's, paracetamol doesnt help and ibprofen isnt really that...
  19. ummm... are you sure that doctor was even qualified??????
  20. There is a good doctor out there, Dr.P.Dale of the Royal Gwent. He doesnt care if its not his area he still trys to help you, the only problem is theres no garuntee your going to see him, if hes not available you gave to see his registra who is a complete idiot. Oh and another thing hes a peadi so either when im 16 or 18 i have to stop seeing him
  21. Ok, stupid question coming, what happens during an ultrasound scan of the pelvis?? My peadi wants me to have one to see if it can shed some light on why im still in pain. Any help greatly apreciated.
  22. I had the same thing happen to me. I would agree that you do have coeliac, theres no false positives and together with a good dietry response, positive blood tests are a good basis for confirming diagnosis. My GI said that in a few years he will stop doing biopsy's (if its just for this) because even those with negatives end up being diagnosed with coeliac...
  23. i just had sedatives for mine (i was 14 at the time) but as your son is so young they will probably give him a GA. Tell him he is going to have a funny mask and go to sleep, if you want you can tell him that they are going to use a special camera to take pictures of his tummy. Tell him that his throat might hurt a little when he wakes up and if it does you...
  24. thanks .. i will bring all of these up with my peadi in July (turns out i could of seen him sooner but he didnt get the letter my gp sent him)
