Well then this brings up a few questions. I have seen quite a few post about suggesting using rice milk instead of milk for those trying to avoid dairy. In most those post the suggestion is not to use Rice Dream..but I haven't seen much then in what brand you do use? AND does it have carrageenan in it..which I also must avoid. And..is it sugar free? How do...

ARCHIVED Yummo!
gluten15 replied to gluten15's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
This stuff is amazing. Best coconut I have had outside of freah. Great to just snack on as is. If I was eaing sugar.. this would be perfect..so perfect to make coconut brittle. It's fresh..but will store..yet not to dry. A pound is a lot. Don't hesitate if you are looking for a coconut to snack on. -
Nope..I meant Rice Dream..just got back from the store and it's organic Rice Dream. Says Gluten Free on the back. I understand all the rules about labeling and laws and what requires 'Gluten Free' and some people saying that Rice Dream has gluten in it because they are allowed to say it doesn't because of the small amount. I guess it bothers some and not...

First cold pressed unsweetened coconut milk is great too and great for the digestion and candida. You can find it in the Asain isle of the grocery store. I use a Rice Dream just fine. Not sure about all the details right now as I just used one and need to get another. It was the organic one found in the grocery isle. No problems for me at all. I guess...

Open Original Shared Link Best unsweeted coconut I have ever had! When I decided to also do the Candida diet..along with every other..I was so excited to hear that I could eat unsweetened coconut because I love coconut and it takes care when I need a sweet treat. Very fresh and great size pieces for snacking without being chunks..yet not 'flakes'. These...

ARCHIVED Safe Quinoa And V8?
gluten15 replied to oceangirl's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Open Original Shared Link I just got this and had Quinoa for the first time the other day. Loved it and I ate it bascially plain because I really wanted to see what it taste like. I did a lot of reading about it on the net before getting any. I think people who don't like it or think it's bitter aren't rinsing it well enough before cooking it. I added... -
I like these two below the best. Everyone should be reading up about coconut oil and using it for so many things. If it's processed..or unprocessed..correctly..wonderful stuff. It got a bad rap years ago when it started to get processed wrong. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link

ARCHIVED Omg Quaker Rice Cakes?
gluten15 replied to BemLmom3's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I wanted to keep something a little more solid around so I picked up a package of the Lundburg brown rice sea salt rice cakes. They were on sale. I wanted to have something once in awhile to have something to put almond butter on. I love them. How are they diff than Quaker where they are disgusting? I never was a rice cake eater is why I ask. -

gluten15 replied to stolly's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
It took a little bit to get used to the real..and while I can't have any right now..I will never go back to anything else. Love the real stuff. For those who are making gluten free waffles and can have maple syrup and blueberries..oh man..I can't wait until I can do that..yummo..just make sure the syrup is warm and the berries are room temp..yum. -
I use Bob's Red Mill from this company below. I actually buy ALL my healthy stuff from the company below. Great prices, great shipping prices, great customoer service, fast shipping. I have ordered from them for years without one problem Open Original Shared Link I get the gluten free one's of course. I actually like to chow on the whole flax seeds...

ARCHIVED Coconut Macoroons
gluten15 replied to gluten15's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I only cook up what I will at that time so today I added some cinnamon and clove to the mix. Yummy. I love clove. These aren't as 'gooy' as some of the richer one's are..but I sort of like that. I was able to digest them so much better not having the sweetened condensed milk in them. I'm so glad I love coconut, can tolerate it and it's good for me because... -
I am so glad you are feeling better. I never could do Fritos anyway. The type of processed oil made me feel yucky. I have been trying to reintroduce corn once in awhile when I really need a snack. I keep the two things below around when I really need a snack so I don't go for something I shouldn't have. I like Garden Of Eden corn chips. They are...

Well I should have been clearer about how much and what type you consume and the cans they come in and to not being consuming canned products or fish everyday. I was just trying to give some easy ideas. Fresh canned wild caught Copper River sockeye salmon has very little mercury. Try and be careful too what sort of cans they come in. Some have special insides...

I'm on a lot of restrictions too and actually don't even buy that many things that are actually a gluten free as far as a gluten free brand. You may want to try quinoa or buckwheat. These are both so good for us. If you like salmon..I purchase Deming's sockeye salmon for under $3 a can and get three times out of it. Very, very good for us. I will make...

I can't eat very many things right now and was still looking for a healthy way to make something sweet. Since coconut is so good for candida and I love coocnut..this worked out nice. So I made these. I like to call them macoroons instead of macaroons..not sure why..lol One and a half cups sugar free natural shredded coconut. Three egg whites. One...

ARCHIVED Gluten Free Name Brands
gluten15 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I was wondering if in this thread some people..especially the vets..would be willing to name some of the name some of their favorite name brand food items that are gluten free and haven't affected them. Not stuff that is actually like a gluten free company..but everyday name brand grocery store items. For instance..I have fallen in love with some of the... -
ARCHIVED Most Important Meal Of The Day
gluten15 replied to Bibulousman's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Open Original Shared Link I keep the above around for a quick breakfast, something healthy on the go or something healthy to have around that is quick and healthy so I won't be tempted to grab something bad when hunger hits fast as there still is some junk food in the house for the others. -
Again..thanks for the info on the villa and lactase thing. I had never really heard about that in this way until coming here. So many things are making more and more sense. As far as the soy, rice and almond milk..and I don't mean to keep bringing up the carrageenan thing..but one part of me is doing much better since I cut out everything that had that...

Very nice to know about Red Robin. One of my favorite restaurants. While I won't be able to order what I used too..nice to know. We don't really eat out much..never have..but nice to know if I ever do. Nice to see their consistancy all over the us. We used to travel a lot and used to eat at Red Robin all over the US and always great service everytime. Funny...

ARCHIVED Need Gluten Free No Beans Chili Recipe
gluten15 replied to Mtndog's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
When I was eating chili, beans and potatoes..I would add diced potatoes to my chili. Really bulks it up and makes it taste so good. Of course every good chili recipe must have cumin..but I am a cumin freak. I would use it in so many things. When I was eating corn I would also add that and tomatoes when I was eating them. There are so many wonderful things...
