  1. at the very beginning I started getting grey hair at 15, and started losing my hair. Then I started rapidly gaining weight, having very low energy. Then I intentionally started to lose weight, and when I stopped I continually was losing weight even though I started realizing I was losing to much weight and began eating quiet a bit. Then I stopped menstruating...

  3. Hello everyone, I went to a natural foods convention, and found this one vendor that had these nut bars called "go natural bars" I had never seen them before and asked if they were gluten free. The lady said yes. But, to be sure I found there website and saw the ingredients of there bars, and it listed malt extract. SO I contacted the company and they said...

  5. Hi guys, I have found gluten-free cookies that taste just like a moist wheat flour based cookie! I work for a local natural foods store in Seattle, and today there was a trade show where all of these natural foods etc. have booths with info. and samples so that your store will sell them. WELL, this lady that has celiac disease herself, was there and sells...
  6. Okay, thanks, I'll check out progresso, and I didn't realize ener-g had the cream of mushroom Burdee, I'll be in Seattle this Saturday, so I'll have to stop by there, hopefully it's not to much of a wallet burner! Rachel
  7. Hello, with thanksgiving coming up, there are a lot of casseroles that sound good to me that call for cream of mushroom soup, etc. I was curious if anyone knows of any brands that are gluten free? Thanks Rachel
  8. Also Diestel hormone free/farm raised whole turkeys are gluten free...
  9. Thanks Tori! That really does help, it sounds like they are not totally necessary. I may opt not to use them for money's sake. When you made the featherlight bread, did its taste and texture stay the same for more than one day? The only gluten free bread I made was banana bread a few weeks ago, it tasted great fresh out of the oven, but terrible the next...
  10. Thanks Lillie for the recipe! I'll have to try that one too. I got a recipe from somebody that is Bette's and its called featherlight bread. I noticed it calls for both egg replacer and eggs, anyone know why this would be? I don't want to have to spend more money on egg replacer. And it calls for unflavored gelatin which I haven't seen in any other recipes...
  11. Thanks FreyaUSA, I have her parts for her flour mix, but its a recipe for her bread that I am looking for, somebody gave me the recipe for her cornstarch bread, hopefully this will be good for my long waited for sandwiches!
  12. Hello, I searched the board and can't find anything but Bette Hagman's flour mix of tapioca, rice, and potato flour. I have read that many people enjoy her bread, and I don't have the money to go buy her book, so I was wondering if anyone could post her bread recipe for sandwiches? Or PM me it if thats better...I'd really appreciate it! Rachel
  13. Hello, I was curious if anyone knows of any gluten free smoked salmon sold? I have been craving smoked salmon so bad lately! Thanks Rachel
  14. I have heard of it, and actually went to a few sessions. I did this because these other ladies at my clinic reccomended it to me because they had been "cured" of their allergies, and they thought this could help mine, and my gluten intolerance. I only went to like 5 sessions, which hadn't gotten to the gluten part, but it just seemed to good to be true, and...
  15. Hi lilliexx, My doctor basically said the same thing. Because only my IgG was positive by one point, my doc said I was "non celiac gluten intolerant" and that I should correct it by not eating gluten for a while. I have not read anything that supports that! But he is the doctor that wrote the forward in the book "dangerous grains" and I really trust him...
  16. Hello, I will keep you andyour son in my prayers! I was told to go gluten free even though I was considered positive for only the IgG by one point on the blood test, and have had no biopsy. I am currently waiting for the genetic marker test for celiac as well though, I don't know if I should find hope in that? I hope that there is a possibility I could outgrow...
  17. Hello, I have had anorexic like behavior in my life, but not as a result of stomach pains ( I don't get stomach pains), but as far as being told to gain weight, and thinking I'm okay with gaining weight, but once I do, I restrict my eating to get my weight back down b'c I don't like gaining 5 pounds or whatever. I also weigh myself EVERY day. I know a...
  18. Thanks so much, hopefully the butterball was okay, I can't get ahold of any manufactures that I wanted to check on today, because of the holiday. I have had HORRIBLE luck with email, I have emailed several companies like horizon organic, and the company that makes the dish soap my mom uses, and others, and no reply in over a week!
  19. Does anybody know the accuracy percentage of this test? Also, about how much is it? Does any insurance cover it? Thanks Rachel
  20. Kiss my face, and burt's bees make many gluten-free shampoos. I was wondering the same thing about going to the extreme of using gluten-free shampoos lotions etc., but when I took a shower this morning, I realized a lot of rinse off does go all over my face, and little in my mouth, so I don't want to take the risk, and plus sometimes my hair flies in my mouth...
  21. okay thanks, I just wasn't sure if I should even bother calling companies that distribute frozen veggies, if there is no contamination risk. Also, does anyone know if butterball deli meat is gluten free? I called and their business hours are mon-fri, I swore I read they were, and I ate some today, and didn't feel so well after consuming it Rachel
  22. Hello all, still being new to all of this, I was at the grocery store today and didn't think to ask if it is okay to buy any frozen veggies?(plain nothing on them) would they be manufactured in same places as wheat or anything? Also is buying any kind of rice okay? Or are some rices manufactured in same places as wheat? I just want to make sure I am not...
  23. Hello kirst4588, are the bars casein free? Thanks Rachel
  24. I have been having the same problem, my IgG number was the only positive and was one point difference from being negative. I have not been getting straight answers, and wonder if only wheat is causing all of my problems ( if that is possible for wheat to cause loss of menstruation, hair loss, graying etc.) A blood allergy test I did, showed no allergy to...
