  1. Thanks Sherry! I appreciate the information. I had gotten Hulda Clark's book about 3 or so years ago, "The Cure for All Diseases" (i think that's the title) and it did have a liver cleanse in there. I was too chicken to do it back then. I've been meaning to get it out and take a look at it again since Ali had mentioned it a while back so i'll try to remember...
  2. Hi Mia and Sherry, I'd be interested in your liver cleanse protocols as well if you don't mind. I can try sending you both a message and see if you can reply if you have a problem sending it to me. Mia, if that doesn't work i'll send you a message to the above address. Thanks girls! I sometimes have a little pain in my upper right side near my liver...
  3. Hi dtgirl, I'm with you on the hormonal problems. I'm 44 now but started with amenorrhea about 8 years ago too...at about age 36 or 37. Lucky me also had about all of the menopausal symptoms....hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, vaginal dryness, dry skin, etc. I'm on bio-identical hrt (vivelle dot and compounded prometrium cream). I think my gyno...
  4. I have low blood pressure also. I'll have to look and see what mine was last month at our Health Fair at work - i can't remember but have it written down. I feel my endocrine system has been badly damaged also by years of gluten.
  5. Thanks for posting this Sherry. It's very interesting and i have many of the symptoms. I used to have white spots on nails also but haven't in a long time. I hope you get some answers from the test. I may have to look into it more and ask my Dr. about it since I'm taking so long to heal. I know I'm improving more and more on the SCD. That's not a bad...
  6. Hi Martha, I haven't made the SCD yogurt with cow's milk so i can't compare - i started off with the goat milk and have always eaten that. In the beginning the goat yogurt gave me the rumbly tummy and a little gas but i think it was because it was working on the baddies because after a short while that subsided. I started off eating a little and then...
  7. You could use coconut milk to make the yogurt - several have done that - if my memory serves me right I think Michelle (Fig Girl) has made hers with coconut. Goats milk is ok but you do have to get it, and use it very fresh. When fresh I find it tastes and smells just like cows milk, but it does get the goaty flavour and smell as it ages . Hi Ali...
  8. Hi Jan, I've been doing well, thanks. Well, except for the glass of wine last weekend and possible accidental glutening. I started feeling better again by Friday. I know what you mean about getting tired of the same foods and getting a little frustrated for not being able to tolerate new, SCD legal foods yet. I felt like that before just sticking with...

    ARCHIVED No Time, No Problem

Thanks for posting this JW88! This sounds perfect for me since I'm on the Specific Carbohydrate diet and some days don't have time for anything else but work, cooking and cleaning! I am feeling much better and stronger and have pretty much stopped my workout regime for the last 7 months (i do walk my dog though on the weekends). I used to workout regularly...
  10. Hi Jan, Glad you're feeling better and that your yogurt turned out well. I just wanted to say i hope your tests go well and you find out some answers. I've got to have my colonoscopy this year (i have to have one every 3 yrs) and i think i'm going to change gastro dr's since he only would prescribe nexium when i went to him for my stomach pain before...
  11. Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I reacted to the WElch's grape juice too - well, it was either the Welch's or the gelatin. I had made the gelatin with Welch's grape juice in the beginning of the diet and it didn't agree with me. I was going to test them each by themselves but never did. Thanks Pele for posting the info - sounds like it would...
  12. Hi Martha and Janie, Everyone has given you great advice so i just wanted to say that i know how you feel and to hang in there. I made the mistake for a while trying to add too many new legal foods and had to take a step back and just figure out what i was tolerating and add a new food very slowly and very far apart to know what was giving me what symptoms...
  13. Thanks for the warning Sherry...i appreciate it. Let me know how you get along with it. I hope it'll help you out. I may try it later on if it seems to help you and if i feel i still may need it. I hope eating my safe foods for a bit longer will help me improve even more.
  14. Hi Jan and thanks for the Capryl info - i'll try it for 3 mths as i'm pretty sure i have a candida problem. The last time i did the spit test i had some cloudy stuff at the bottom of the glass. Unfortunately i still can't do lemon Maybe i was over doing it a bit before so when i try it again i'll do very little. I think my liver has trouble expelling...
  15. Mia, I'm sorry you're having a time trying to figure out what's going on but i hope you get it sorted out and feel better soon. I was talking to a friend at work the other day and she was telling me about her Dr's appt (she has stomach problems too and to me it sounds like she could be celiac or may be gluten intolerant) and she said her Dr. told her that...
  16. That is good news Ali...sounds like you've made some good progress! Sherry, last time i tried coconut i couldn't tolerate it either. I love it so i hope one day i'll be able to eat it again. I do add a little in my dog's meals and the leftover on the spoon i rub on my skin or in my hair. I've been feeling better since my Dr. increased my Vit D3...
  17. Hi Martha, I'm trying to catch up on posts and wondered if you've found any goat milk yet? I buy mine from Walmart (Meyenburger as Sherry mentioned - not sure if that's spelled corrently). I almost buy them out each time as i make about 4-5 quarts at a time. I also have found a nearby goat farm that sells it and i just love the raw goat yogurt. It...
  18. I'm glad you're finally coming out of your poisoning. I'm sorry you've had such a rough 3-4 days. I don't have any helpful suggestions but try to drink lots of water/fluids to help flush it out and rehydrate. Get some rest too which it sounds like you're doing. A big hug to you....hope you feel lots better soon.
  19. Thanks for posting this Pele - i hadn't heard this. In thinking back i can recall things happening as a child that may indicate i've had problems all of my life. I'm 44 so it might be safe to say that it may take me 44 mths to heal completely and that's ok by me. I'm in it for the long haul!
  20. Good point about the fanatical although I think that to know if it will work for you it may be important for the first couple of months to adhere to it strictly, once you have decided it is going to work for you then of course you can play with it. I agree, it is not a religion and shouldn't be made into one, that is one reason I appreciate CROHNSBOY who...
  21. Thanks Sherry for posting the great information - it's very helpful! Good to *see* you! I too felt better for a while in the beginning eating a lot of protein but then started feeling acidy when eating more than usual. About a week ago i stopped taking a probiotic capsule before bed and now just take one in the morning and that seemed to help along with...
  22. Thanks Rice Guy for mentioning about the proteins. I still can't tolerate nuts and if i eat too much protein at one meal my digestion is compromised. I seem to do better when i don't over do it on the protein.
