    Yes, you need the IgG testing for antigliaden and TtG. I had those done as part of a complete celiac panel.

    Either Celiac or Gluten Intolerance can cause deficiencies. Blood tests are notoriously inaccurate. And biopsy is too because damage can be "patchy" and if they do not take a sample from a damaged spot, it will look negative. Having a family history and a celiac gene doesnt mean you have celiac.     I agree that we are all individual. Not long ago I saw an interview of a man in his 90's who said the secret to his longevity and good health was lots of sweets, butter and good scotch.....LOL That diet would kill me.

    I have read that it is the other way around.....a gluten sensitivity can lead to anorexia/bulimia. It could be because gluten causes upset and a person develops an aversion to certain foods...and then food all together....or they binge on gluten foods and then throw up.     If I cant get the tests I want from a doctor, I order my own. If you can afford it, there are many labs online that you can get tests through without a prescription. I use DirectLabs and HealthCheck.
