That sounds like a great idea!!! I am sort of tired of the blank stares when I tell the waiter or kitchen staff that my daughter can't eat gluten. If only more people would more aware of celiac disease, then life for those who eat gluten-free would be easier.

Hi there, My family will be traveling to Stowe Vermont in April. I would like to know of places to eat and/or buy groceries while there. Is anyone familiar with "BAJA FRESH- Mexican Grill" I was given a gift card and we have two restaurants here in Miami. The website was not very helpfull with specific ingredients. I emailed them and I am waiting for their response. But I trust you guys more LOL.

Yes, they are. It's actually a pita bread. I am more interested in finding out about the meat. Do real (not chain) greek rest have gluten in the gyro meat?

Hi there, does anyone know of any restaurants that would have gluten-free food in the tarpon Springs area? My daugther loves gyros but has not had one since she was diagnosed last year. We will be visiting Tarpon Springs next week and are looking for gluten-free greek food.

I heard that "Pasha's" in Miami beach has a gluten-free menu. Other than that I was told the usual- ask the waiter, speak to the chef, steak houses are usually a good option, etc... If I come across more information I will keep you posted. -

I can tell you from personal experience that pediatricians, and doctors in general, are NOT very knowledgeable when it comes to breastfeeding. Your best bet is to find a lactation consultant (LC). Supplementing will lower your milk production even more. A lactation consultant will help you increase your milk production without having to resort to formula... -

We have not found them here in Miami, Florida. I have spoken to several Publix Grocery managers and they all said that it was up to the distribution wharehouse to decide when the stores get them. So I emailed the Publix headquarters and asked them. I will post if and when I hear form them as to when the mixes will be available. -

We came back from Denver via Chicago and my daughter was able to get a salad in the airport. They have to-go pre-packaged salads at a Chili's in the airport terminal. But there were other vendors that sold salads to go too. If you are not sure of their dressing you can check on the Chili's website or bring along the Kraft dressings in small to-go packs... -

Betty Crocker is coming out with a gluten free line of baking mixes as part of their national distributioon this June!!!!!!!!! Contact your grocery store manager and request that they carry these items once they are in distribution. -

Be sure to speka to the store manager where you shop. If there is a local celiac chapter or group involve them as advocates to call the store. Usually if the store sees that there is a demand for it, the will carry it. -

I too had a wonderful experience at Disney World. Everyone was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I LOVE DISNEY!! Since we live in Florida we visit there several times a year.

From what I understand, the McDonald's and Wedny's fries are fried in the same oil as the breaded chicken and nuggets. Only BK uses a separate fryer for their breaded items. Chik-fil-a is the only place that will actually list their fries as gluten-free.
