  1. This is what I was talking about, because of this process, they have to say solution, brine or broth added... Copying and pasting... Fresh foods like apples, lettuce and meat don't have to have lists of their ingredients on their labels. With meat, there could be more than meat in the package. By: Michelle Davidson, KY3 News Most meats naturally...
  2. I am not sure the solution added is broth... um I just read a book about processing in USA and its horrifying... this solution is not a broth.. I wont go into details, cannot recall the name of the book... if I find it, I will tell you if anyone wants to know. The solution is used to cool the carcasses quickly and it is the reason US chicken is so infected...
  3. Thanks all. My friend has a bread maker she said I could borrow. I must admit, I love to cook, hate to bake. Always have... so I was hoping I could find some decent ready made stuff but I am about at the end of my rope with it all. Miss grilled cheese, turkey etc. Thank you!!
  4. I am sooooo tired of the bread brands I have chosen... they are all heavy, hard and some what sweet in flavor. Can anyone help me, I am about ready to eat some Wonder... thanks in advance...
  5. Is Amy's pretty good? I have tried several pizza crusts now and they all have this sweet taste to them that I loathe... help me, I am about ready to eat Tombstone... having a lot of trouble lately, really miss pizza and sandwiches....
  6. I can every year and this year I just made certain I used Apple Cider Vinegar, not apple cide flavored. If you do a search you can find home canning instructions, or your local Extension office has all the info you need. Try a search on home canning, canning or preserving, you should get lots of results. I have a great recipe for salsa gluten...
  7. Hi all, I am pretty new here, posted a few times but this one struck a nerve... I have been on Prozac, Zoloft, Amyltriptiline (sp?) and Paxil. I have fought with doctors my whole life and they all, even the women patted me on the head and told me I was stressed, depressed or whatever. Most of the pills made me want to eat dirt... or drove me crazy. Oh...
  8. Wow I am exhausted lately. I am not sure why, is this normal. I am rested when I wake up. I could be just running around too much but I fall asleep every night lately at about 6. Only been gluten-free for 10 days or so... will this get better?
  9. While reading through posts, I came across quite a few of you who are very sensitive to gluten in any form. You should be aware that many pet foods, most certainly most brands of DOG FOOD is full of it! Use caution when feeding your pets or giving treats.
  10. I have gotten very selfish with my sleep. To my knowledge I do not have sleep apnea or any organic trouble, my father has night terrors... they are horrifying. But I often do have trouble sleeping, not so much since being gluten free for 2 weeks now or close to it... I went out and got the best bed I could afford, I put memory foam mattress pad on it...

    ARCHIVED Tv And Or Radio

I sleep with a fan, have since I was a child and cannot sleep without one. I am also very particular about the fan.. cant have one that does not sound a certain way. I am a very very light sleeper, any variation of noises and I am wide awake in a second. The radio or TV drives me batty. Any change in noises, such as a talk show with people clapping and...

    ARCHIVED Dapson

A soak in a tub with Dreft, yes the baby clothes detergent it helpful. I only have a few blisters on my hands and lower arms... They seem to have gotten a bit worse after going gluten-free about 2 weeks ago. Not a bad case though... But I add Dreft liquid to a tub of water... its the best bubble bath in the world, cant take regular bubble bath. This stuff...
  13. My heart goes out to all of you so much so. Not because I too refuse to eat any gluten but because of my daughter, who was born with Phenylketonuria (PKU) 17 years ago. PKU is another thing altho there are similarities. She cannot have an excess of phenylalanine, which is present in all protein (including gluten) but as it is an essential amino acid (which...
  14. THANK YOU!!! I have been on this darn computer for days trying to find a list such as this.. THANK YOU!!!!
  15. Hello All, new here. I will try to keep this as short and to the point as I can... but I have a lot of things to say and vent about. I am 37 and the mother of a child with PKU (in inborn error of metabolism, cannot use excess amino acid in protein). As a child I had bad headaches, diarrhea, mood swings etc. The doctors blamed it on my parents divorce...
