  1. Thats how I was. Go completely Gluten Free. You must do this. Within 2 weeks I was much better. Over Christmas I somehow got glutened even though I am very careful. I got so edgy and grouchy. It has been 5 days and I still feel bad. You have no choice but to get all gluten out of your body.
  2. I am feeling just like you. I have been gluten free since October 15th and have been doing wonderful. I tried being very careful over the holidays but something crept in. Before going gluten free my symptoms were headaches, fatigue, and brain fog. Now they also include stomach cramps and the big D. My gastro told me my symptoms would be worse. Boy he...
  3. You are still very new to the healing process. It took me about 8 weeks for my symptoms to go away totally. They would come and go. I do not have leg cramps but Celiac affects people in different ways. Give yourself a few more weeks and you will see a difference.
  4. My symptoms are acutally worse than before I was diagnosed. I get an instant migraine and it goes downhill from there. I hope I never have that poison in my body again.
  5. Within 2 weeks my brain fog was gone. The first week I felt terrible. As for clonapin I take it and it is gluten free. But it can make you have brain fog so take as little as you can. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. And remember to eat your meats with marinades unless you know it is gluten free. I have only been gluten free is Oct 15th and I almost...
  6. The longer you go without it the less you want it. Obviously you have some symptoms or you wouldnt have had an endoscopy done. Feel lucky you don't feel terrible. I think my symptoms started slowly but by this October I was very ill. I will never intentionally eat gluten again. Never Never Never
  7. Thank you. That changed it back.
  8. It used to be you could see all replies that have been typed in. Now you only see the original post then have to go down and click on the replies to see them. I like it the older way. Can I change it on my computer or is it something you are doing.
  9. Mine went well too. We drove 7 hours to visit our son and daughter-in-law. I was just diagnosed in October. My daughter-in-law made a gluten free dinner. EVERYTHING on the table was gluten free. She is wonderful. I felt so good after that dinner. I remember in the past I would have to lay down for a few hours from exhaustion. It was gluten all this...
  10. My 2 week mark was horrible. I felt terrible. I could barely do anything as I was extremely exhausted and having alot of stomach pains that I hadnt had before. I am at the 5 week mark and feel wonderful. It is amazing how much better I feel than I have in years. Hang in there!!
  11. Did you go gluten free after the endosopy? If so thats why you are feeling yucky. It takes a while for you body to adjust.
  12. Be careful of what you put on your steak. I eat mine naked! A good cut of beef doesnt really need marinated. Alot of marinades contain gluten.
  13. My son and daughter-in-law live 7 hours from us. She called me last week and invited my husband and me to their home for Thanksgiving. She told me she is making a gluten free dinner!! Everything will be gluten free. I told her she didnt have to do that for me but she insists on doing this. She is a wonderful girl. I am lucky to have her.
  14. That is exactly what is happening to you. Your body is craving nutrients. The hunger continued the first 3 weeks of the gluten free diet. I am in my 4th week now and that has somewhat subsided. I felt like I could eat the kitchen table!!
  15. My gastro told me he will do bloodwork at 6 months.
  16. Thanks for all you suggestions. I bought some probiotics today. And I go to the gastro on the 17th. I am eating well balanced meals. I love fruit and veggies . I just want to feel good. Thanks
  17. I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with blood tests, genetic testing, and finally with biopsy. The first 2 weeks without gluten I felt like a new person. This last week, however, I feel lousy. My brain fog isnt as bad as it used to be but I just feel lousy all over. I am being very cautious what I am eating. I have even changed shampoos, soaps, makeup, and...
  18. I was diagnosed with celiac disease last week. The bloodwork, genetic testing, and biopsies from the small intestine all came back positive. I am doing really well on the gluten free diet. I am actually feeling better than I have in a long time. I thought the doctor checked for everything possible, but today in the mail I received an order to have more...
  19. I am one week gluten free. So far I am feeling much better. The brain fog has almost gone away and I dont need 2 naps a day but I am HUNGRY all the time. Yikes I am one of the celiac disease patients that has gained weight. I am about 30 pounds overweight thanks to celiac disease. I dont want to gain anymore. I am trying to only eat healthy non gluten...
  20. I am newly diagnosed with celiac disease and I have been using Lame Advertisement products. I just googled the products I use and they are not gluten free. Please help me find new products. I am having a hard enough time figuring out food let alone facial products. HELP
  21. My GI told me about shampoos and conditioners as soon as I was diagnosed. He says when you are rinsing your hair the shampoo and conditioner run down your face when you are rinsing your hair. If they touch your lips you can be contaminated.
  22. I am newly diagnosed with celiac disease. I strength train 4 times a week and do cardio 5 days a week. I was in the habit of taking a hydroxycut 1/2 hour before my strength training. It really helped me get through my workout and then be able to do cardio. I contacted the manufacturer and was told that hydroxycut contains gluten. Does anyone know of...
  23. I am a newly diagnosed celiac (7 days). I am leaving for Acapulco this Friday. Can anyone give me suggestions for my trip?
  24. I am 6 days gluten free. I must say my brain fog is better but I am having trouble sleeping. I go to sleep rather easy but I am waking up around 4 or 5 am the last few mornings a cant go back to sleep. I must say one of my main symptoms of celiac disease was fatigue as I could and would sleep about 12 to 14 hours a day. Please tell me this gets better...
  25. I started eating gluten free yesterday. Thank God for that. About 6 weeks ago my blood work showed positive for Celiac. My GP sent me to a GI and he did the genetic testing which showed I had both genes for Celiac. Finally I had my endo and colonoscopy yesterday. My GI said he sent biopsies off but he could tell just by looking that my Villi were flat...
