  4. I'd like to eat out today for lunch. It will be my first time in a few years. Woohoo! I'm excited. lol We have a Red Robins nearby that i will call ahead, once they are open. Does anyone know if their french fries are soy free as well? One of the problems I'm running into is lots of frozen fries have soybean oil already in the ingredient list. Soy is something...
  5. You can probably find it in a regular grocery store in the ethnic food aisle. It's also called Mochiko. The brands i've seen/bought come in a box, maybe the size of a New Orleans Jumbalaya rice mix. Sorry, that's all i could think of it to compare it to. lol
  6. Thanks so much! It's perfect b/c i wanted to make the pie tomorrow, that way i dont have to cook so much on Thursday. Thanks again!
  7. I havent called them or emailed them about it nor have i bought that, but they do clearly label their products. If products are prepared/made in a facility using any of the top 8 allergens, they will even put that on the label. Anyone, if I'm wrong, please correct me. HTH!
  8. That's great to hear! Thanks!! Now do you think it's the same for coconut cream? There's a filipino dessert i wanted to make and i thought it used coconut milk but it calls for coconut cream. Thanks again!
  9. Im looking for a pie crust to go along with karina's pumpkin pie. I know i should've looked for one sooner but i completely forgot. I can just go crustless if all else fails. We are milk free, egg free, gluten free and soy free. I also dont have any shortening(spectrum or other) available right now. I only have spectrum coconut oil and i can use olive oil...
  10. Hi! I'd like to use karina's gluten-free, ef pumpkin pie recipe and it calls for milk(hemp or coconut or cows). I can only get a hold of coconut and I'm allergic to cows milk. The goya brand is out of stock here in our commissary but they have another brand available. I think goya is definitely gluten free. Do you know if in general, coconut milk, is gluten...
  11. I found spectrum coconut oil in my commissary. It was such a surprise. I'm going to request they stock spectrum shortening. I just wanted to know if you can sub the coconut oil for butter/margarine in baking? The health food store is a bit far and there is no safe margarine/shortening in our commissary. The coconut oil is cheaper on base too. TIA!
  12. You can find sweet potato starch in asian food stores. From what i've read, they are not part of the nightshade family. I've not used it in my cooking but it's worth a try.
  13. Thanks! Do you chill the dough before putting it on the baking sheet? It's been a few years since i've eaten a cookie and I'm anxious to try.

  16. I've had the gluten-free Trader Joe's brownie mix. They are free of gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, milk and dairy, soy and corn. Mmmm! It's good and reasonably priced, imo. Over here, they are $2.99. They also have a pancake mix for the same price and free of the same things.

  19. Here is a link to a mock soy sauce. It has corn free substitutes too. It's in the instructions part. There have been no reviews on it though. We might do this. Dd is allergic to soy. Forgot to add the link. lol Open Original Shared Link
  20. I use Carol Fensters gluten-free mix. Yesterday i found this recipe. It's gluten free and egg free and dairy free, if you want. They tasted pretty good. I did add guar gum the 2nd time i made and they fluffed up better. I'm pretty sure you can leave out the banana if you add guar/xanthum gum or use some other kind of binder. It did work without the guar gum...
