  1. You know doctors might right about the nerves and spams but it is vit b12 that we need to relax the digestive system not antidepressants. I am not a doctor but I feel my digestion is getting better with vit b12: less spasms and less D. I am reading on vit b12 and how it helps with so many symptoms I wouldn't even associate with its deficiency. So maybe...
  2. I love all those teas but fennel is the one I usually have at home. Fennugreek has many benefits but I tried at rare times maybe because of the stigma... in warm climates, it is known to make people smell. For the cumin I used it iin some recipes and I hope it keeps its properties when cooked. Coconut oil is great and I have read a lot on the caprilic acid...
  3. I ran out of ACV but when I had it, I was taking 2 tablespoon in twice the amount of water first thing before breakfast. I will try it the way you take it before the meals too. ACV helped lessen my reflux and I had no more food regugirtation. Thanks I didn't know about betaine HCL I will research more on the subject. I asked my doctor for the enzymes before...
  4. Thanks. How do you know for sure what are your needs? Is there a specific test for lack of enzymes? I already take apple cider vinegar, fresh and supplement ginger and liquorice root. Liquorice isn't meant for my digestion but it can help. How about Cumin can it help?
  5. I am dealing with bad digestion, discomfort/or pain and IBS and my new holistic doctor sent me for many tests which are not all completely done. In the meantime, I am taking probiotics and enzymes...actually I just bought the enzymes Digest More Ultra from Renew Life and it is gluten soya corn yeast additives and animal products FREE. It looks perfect except...
  6. I am reading Dr Ellen Cutler's book, Micro Miracles. She talks about small food particles entering the blood and trigering antibodies...causing autoimmunes disease. I didn't finish reading but so far, I do see the good enzymes can do to our bodies. For her, doctors should use enzyme therapy first thing when someone has autoimmune issues but she doesn't talk...
  7. Interesting article but it is another trick from doctors to sell us prescription drugs. My estomac is gluten intolerant not depressed
  8. I rated a topic for the first time last week. Do I have to worry about my eyes or this is something new? I didn't know we could rate...never rated even when I really liked a topic and I am here since 2009.
  9. I am in the process of educating myself on optimal levels vs normal ranges on blood tests using the internet. For example, my vit b12 is "normal" in the 300s (198-615 in Canada) but I have symptoms of vit b12 deficiency. My new holistic doctor wants vit b12 at least at 600. Maybe a naturapathic doctor will be able to tell you what are the functional levels...
  10. I started learning English mostly at high school then didn't do much at university. I had to work hard later when I needed functional English and did a lot on my own but then there are proven methods to learn English. I watched a lot of American movies at the time and kept rewinding My challenge was listenning as reading and writing come easy when you...
  11. I am Canadian but maybe the only one originally from Africa here and wondering why me why gluten intolerance chose me? When you're originally African with this disease, your genes have truly betrayed you. Or am I guilty of years of French bread eating? When you're from Africa, there is always someone to tell you "put your trust in God and eat you will be...
  12. Great idea. I checked the website...ingredients seem natural but of course I dont know all of them.
  13. Caution: don't take for granted the gluten free meals and snacks from Air Canada. Read all the ingredients and ask for what is in your meal. I was given a snack with the main ingredient spelt but that didn't stop there. A flight attendant tried to convince me it was gluten free because their dietitician said so I wrote to Air Canada a long message after...
  14. You're absolutely right but keep in mind not everyone can afford the products of that website. It would be good to find some products that aren't carcinogen while still affordable. I know we get what we pay for but what can we do everything good is expensive nowadays. Trying to switch to organic meat eggs and dairy, I can't really afford expensive hair and...
  15. Wellcome to the forum! Take all the precaution you need as long as you have this job but I'll tell you what I would do if I was a 19 old baker at a sandwich shop, I would start a new career it is very possible at 19 to turn your life around. Or better I would stay in the field but specialize in gluten free. Yup you need you my friend bake for us...anyone...
  16. OMG there is no way I stop eating those! It is all the good stuff. Why would cocunut be there too...coconut oil is so good for health. Honestly, I believe there must be something else to look for so that we don't stop eating everything good. Tomatoes are the one I eat almost every week. I think if I do flush all the toxins in my body I will be able to eat evrythg incl gluten I am kiddin...

  17. Did you find salicylates? Tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, coconut, raspberries, strawberries, etc.

  18. Did you find salicylates? Tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, coconut, raspberries, strawberries, etc.

  19. Thank you. You're right sometimes we dont have a choice but to get tested. I will visit my walking clinic doctor this week. Do you know what tests I should be doing? When I asked my doctor to get me tested for celiac 3 years ago, I was sent to the lab with an incomplete panel. I wouldn't like this to happen. I also have an appointment to have saliva hormone...
  20. Believe me this was my first guess when I first checked my symptoms online and that's why I have been taking liqorice root every morning and my energy is better. But not having all the symptoms and also the lack of a good doctor stopped me to look for medical advice. I have been self medicated myself with vit B and C and liquorice root. I may be acting...
  21. In reference to the itchy skin, have you thought about salicylates? Look them up and see if they are in your diet. I was having a real issue with them and itched all over. Took them out of my diet and eliminated the problem.

  22. I think most of us get much much better when we cut out the "poison" gluten but our health problems didn't start and stop at gluten. Why some of us only develop this intolerance? Genes only give us more chances to have celiac...there must be something else. As far as I am concerned, I believe the toxic build-up in our systems is the major issue. This is why...
  23. I suffer from cold (freezing) feet. My fingers can become somehow white but not always. My feet are very white and seem they have no life when touched everytime I feel cold. The worst is before bed I have to either warm my feet late at night and/or decide to do some sort of exercise/tasks to keep me moving for the last hour before bed. My feet can get too...
  24. These are my latest symptoms for the last 2-3 months. My skin is itchy but not as much as before going gluten free. I had been itch free for 2 years but there is something new going on. My skin is also painful to touch and sometimes light itching hurts me. And my neck is darkening mostly on the sides and it is NOT due TO SUN. With that I have had very low...
  25. I do have acid reflux but wasn't ever told I had something like GERD...although I did complain it to the doctor about it many times. Then considered it more like a nuisance than an illness. I just keep a good dental hygiene to avoid more damage my oral health. But are you saying that acid reflux will have to do with the mustard colored rocky stool I have...
