I have considered being sick, but the rest of me feels fine. It is really just my GI track that is having problems. I would make an appointment w/ my doctor, but I worry that they would just say that my guess as to what is wrong is as good as theirs.

I have been dealing w/ Celiac for almost two years. I had gone almost a year without a major glutening. I got glutened the Saturday before last. I'm still having diarrhea (more the urgency than anything else). It has been really bad today after not being as bad the last couple of days (only causing problems in the morning). I have also started to throw up...

Hello, How do I know if the digestive problems I am having are from being glutened last week, or from a stomach bug. I thought the symptoms from my glutening had gotten better, but now I'm having digestive problems again. However, the usual gluten symptoms that I would expect from a new glutening have not re-occured. However, It has been a year since I was...

I was wondering if anyone knew why symptoms change and/or last different amounts of time. This last time I got glutened was a lot different than it was a year ago. (different timing, new symptom.) Thanks.
-
That would be a good thought, except i got glutened Friday night, and threw up on Monday while I was having other digestive problems.

Why does it seem like every time (or almost every time) I get glutened I add a new symptom? I had gone a year (until this weekend) since last being glutened (wow!) and now I've added throwing up to the mix. Why?

Well, no more cadburry cream eggs for me . Thanks for the information.

I have some of the symptoms that I get from getting glutened: muscle and joint aches, fuzzy brain, insomnia (but not the usual digestive issues). However, I don't know what I ate that did it. Can cc build up over time to a point that it bothers you? The only thing I ate that was new was cadburry cream eggs. Now that I think about it I don't know if it is...

Thanks. I didn't want to have to give up corn.
-
Should I worry if it seems like the corn I ate was not getting completely digested? I also had more bms than I usually do. It was whole corn. I know people have said that people sometimes have trouble w/ corn. I haven't noticed any trouble w/ corn products. Thanks for any help.

The people I worked w/ made fun of my hot flashes as early menopause when I was only 24. Luckily went away w/ ending the gluten.

Before going gluten free I was always too hot. I would sit right in front of the air conditioner so that I was cool enough without freezing everyone else in the room. When I went to see the GI for the first time she asked if I was hot a lot. I said I was always hot. I was actually in a tank top at the time and she had a sweater on in the hospital. She asked...

I live in the midwest (don't know if this makes a difference). There was just a commercial on TV (TNT) for Chex and it was all about how there were five flavors that were gluten free and it made it easier for the mom w/ a child who needed to be gluten free. I am so surprised/impressed/amazed.

Thank you everyone. I'm sure I will come with more specific questions when we get closer to move in time (end of April.) We both will have our own dishes as we both have our own apartments right now. We talked about me possibly keeping some of my stuff in my bedroom (right across from the kitchen). I know my friend will be really careful. I just hope we can...

Hello. Because of finances I am moving in with a gluten eating fried into her apartment. Her kitchen is really small (like 3ft x 5ft). I was wondering if you could give me advice on how to keep me gluten free. She has very little counter space. We want to keep me healthy. What are your suggestions. Let me know any questions that would help you to give...

I had an appointment today (after a year and a half at school) with dissability services. I went in once before but the guy somewhat wigged me out and worry about backlash from my profs. The person I talked to today was great and seemed to know about celiac and cc and everything. She was really nice and talked to me about what it has been like for me w/ celiac...

ARCHIVED Poll- How Tall Are You?
Googles replied to Cinnamongirl's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I'm 5'7" and the shortest in my immediate family. Wish I was taller. -
I was looking at a bag of candy hearts yesterday because I always liked those and they were out for valentines day. I noticed that none of the ingredients have gluten in them (mostly sugar) but then I also saw that the product was manufactured in another country. It said that the product was made on shared lines with wheat and other ingredients. I wouldn...

I've noticed that whenever I get glutened I start getting cravings for bread again. It makes it so hard to go past the bakery in the grocery store for a few days after the glutening. When most of the time I can go past it now without even noticing that it is there. I try to stay away from people eatting bread and such after I'm glutened because it looks so...

I don't have any suggestions to add. But I wanted to say that I hope you are feeling better soon.
-
I haven't read through all the responses tonight, so someone might have already suggested this. A good thing to do would be keep track of exactly what she is eating and how she is feeling. This will make it easier to find out if there are other foods that are causing problems. Good luck.

Contrary to most people with GERD, for me it is not at all problematic when I lie down. It is actually better then. My doctor thinks it might be stress related, and so when I lie down, I usually am able to relax. So hopefully I wont have to adjust my sleeping position (I love sleeping on my stomach). I started the meds today. I hope that after being on them...

I just got a new prescription and needed to decide which pharmacy to send it into based on cost and gluten-freeness. So I called the Costco pharmacy to see if the generic medication they carried was gluten free as the name-brand was more than $150 more expensive. I got transferred to a pharmacist who was of no help what so ever. I ended up asking for the...

So I went to the doctor today and they said I have GERD and should take antacids. So I will start doing that. They also said I should give up spicy food, and caffeine, and maybe tomatoes.Ugh. Within the last few months I just added tomatoes back in. I don't want to have to give them up again, but I guess I need to. I don't know how giving up caffeine is...

I have a doctor's appointment with student health services for tomorrow. I hate going to the doctor. I'm worried they are going to tell me they don't know what is wrong and to just go away. Ugh.
