I normally get the oven roasted chicken breast salad. Just the chicken, lettuce and shredded cheese. I carry gluten free dressing in the truck. I keep careful watch and speak up if I see any issues. So far 4 months in and haven't been glutened yet. Thank goodness and keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I'm checking them all out.

ARCHIVED Dx Celiac, Possible Autoimmune Reaction To Seafood, Nuts, Dairy, High Protein Foods.

Not quite an allergy but you are sensitive to the fish and high protien. There is a difference. All I can say is try not to eat any of these for a few months and then try to reintroduce at a later date. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help. -
Ok, so far rice dream milk hasn't bothered me, soy milk is out of the question, and I can not find almond milk anywhere at all. My main problem is that i'm a truck driver and I am only home for a few days every 6 to 8 weeks. There are several super walmarts that allow truck parking some don't. Some walmarts carry rice milk some don't. I guess i'm...

Hi everyone. In reading I have come across several postings about rice dream milk having gluten in it. Really? I have not had any bad experiences SO FAR. But keep reading that it has barley in it. I've checked the ingredients but so far haven't seen anything related to barley. It does say has natural flavors. Just curious. Have a good night.

txplowgirl replied to kathyhay's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
The first two months were ok then was sick all the time, vomiting, fatigue and pain. Was anemic, put on iron pills, made me sicker. At 6.5 months went into premature labor. Was in hospital 2 weeks then they sent me home for a month. Told to stay in bed unless went to the bathroom and I had to have someone be with me at all times. Dr's orders. Went back in... -

This is very interesting. I grew up with all these stomach problems and was told by my dad and grandmother. (his mom). That stomach problems ran in the family so get used to it. I did, was so used to it that I never seen a dr for it because it was normal in our family. My father, 10 minutes after eating was in the bathroom. As well as a couple of sisters... -

I have sensitivities to sugar, aspartame, maltodextrin, dextrose and sucrose, high fructose corn syrup. I could go on and on. Thanks everyone for the support. I am feeling better today just a little fatigued. A lot of my problem is i am a truck driver and and there aren't a lot of really good places to stop and eat. Plus I managed to get into a walmart today and restock so i'll be ok for a few more days. I definitely will not be doing McD's again. I have a question. This... -

I have been really lucky these last few months with hardly any glutening problems at all. Been getting better, more energy, less pain, less fuzzy headed. No stomach issues at all. But the last few days i've been really hungry for something that I havn't had in quite a while and that was McD fries and a burger. I had been reading in different posts here that... -
Just wondering if the Journal was worth getting. Is it worth the money? Thanks

Ever since I was a teen when I used make up expecially eye shadow my eye lids would itch and lipstick would cause my lips to itch and swell. I tried hypoallergenic makeup sometimes it would work sometimes not. I got to the point I quit using it altogether. Just in the last few days I've had my ah ha moment and went DUH! Gluten is the darn problem. "Slap...

Hi Jocelyn, I have been gluten free a few months. I was wondering about your statement about wearing clothes hurt. That is 1 symptom of fibromyalgia which I have been told is also an auto immune disease. My dr told me that when I get glutened it is 3 to three times worse because it causes a fibro flare as well. Double whammy if you will. Which causes the...

Is There A Difference Between Celiac And Fibromyalgia
txplowgirl posted a blog entry in txplowgirl's Blog
A little bit about me. I'm 45 yrs old, 5 ft, 2 in at 205 lbs. I have always been overweight and have always felt bad. I can remeber being 8 yrs old and crying to my mother because I was in pain and my stomach hurt a lot. Hardly any energy, diareah, always felt tired, cranky. My father was one of those types, if you wern't bleeding or had a limb pointed in... -

Auriana, I am gluten free and have a problem with the nightshade vegetables. All potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant and all peppers and paprika. I can't eat anything at all seasoned with black pepper in it. The other night I had a chicken breast grilled with lightly sauteed squash. I had no seasoning whatsoever except Mrs. Dash original. I got the usual symptoms... -
Hi evryone, I've got a question. Still new to this gluten-free thing. My sweetie and I are having a disagreement. I have been drinking 2% milk for years but it looks like I might be having milk issues, so my question is would going to lactose free milk work? My sweetie is telling me he thinks just going to totaly skim milk would be ok or watering the 2...

Wow, ang1e0251, What does the gluten and the dyes have to do with each other? And the paprika, Oh boy, I think I know what got me the other night. Mrs. Dash had paprika in it. I didn't know that was a nightshade plant. Darn it! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Doe's anyone know what all is in the nightshade family? All I found was the potatoes, tomatoes... -

Thanks everyone. The itching is really driving me crazy. It is mainly around my middle to lower shoulder blades on my back and around my rib cage, sometimes on my chest. Can't see anything but man does it itch. I didn't know that the potato starch can cause itching. Going to have to watch out for that for sure. Hmm, the last couple of days I don't remember... -
