  1. Hey Jason, at least YOU TRIED! Good for you. Hang in there.
  2. WOW! Thanks for the help!
  3. Hi Lissm, I've been gluten-free for almost 11 months now. Are you eating any gluten-free processed foods? Could be cross contamination, check to see if it says processed in a wheat facility or something to that effect. Have you checked your shampoos, meds soaps? Also, you might have a problem with dairy or soy. Try an elimination diet and see what happens...
  4. Hi There, I have always been overweight since I was 14. I weighed 205 lbs. Kept that weight until I got pregnant at 18 then lost it down to 135. Then after the baby was born shot right back up. Bad Bad Pregnancy. No matter what diet I tried couldn't lose it. Maybe a couple then right back up. It wasn't until after I went gluten free that the weight started...
  5. There are tests out there called Enterolabs and I think Prometheis, (spelling?) They can tell you if you have a gluten sensitivity but not celiac
  6. Congratulations!
  7. Ok, I have a friend who owns a restaurant. I have been keeping him up to date on my gluten status and he is very receptive about it to the point that he is wondering about having a little seminar like thing at his restaurant about gluten and he was asking me if I would be willing to be the one who does the presentation. AARRHHH, the thought of getting in...
  8. Everything that was said above plus I take 2000 mgs of L-glutamine. It helps soothe my tummy and helps with my nausea. Hope you get to feeling better.
  9. I get d EVERY single time i've ate them, that was 3 times. I won't touch them again. But then again maybe it's because I have a problem with the nightshades. But so far with nightshades I usually have pain and swelling. So, in my opinion I have been glutened by MCD fries.
  10. WOW!, I have had those dreams from the age of 8 when my mom tried to kill herself with a butcher knife and i'm the one that found her. Haven't had those dreams since I left my ex husband. I thought I was weird. lol
  11. Hi Kayo, I can definitly relate. Here I am 45 and I can remember when I was 7 crying to my mother about how bad I hurt, felt sick off and on all the time. My father would tell me I was just being lazy, it was all in my head. etc. I was in an abusive marriage for 21 years and and he would make fun of me or make things hurt worse. Dr's told me it was this...
  12. Thank you for listening, I really appreciate it. I guess I was having a bad couple of hours and it was really bothering me so I came on here and vented. I was able to feel a bit better and was able to sleep. Thankfully. Again, thank you for listening.
  13. I have the same kind of symptoms. According to my rhuematologist it's due to my having fibromyalgia. To put it simply, the nerves are on hyperdrive.
  14. I just got a phone call from a cousin earlier catching up on family and she tells me a third cousin who is 34 was just dx'd with liver cancer. He has had diabetes for the last 10 years and a year ago dr's thought he had lupus. Turns out the lupus was the cancer instead. His grandmother is my first cousin, she has diabetes and several food allergies, Both...
  15. Hi Eeyore, I have been dx'd with fibro, but unfortuneatly, I guess I am an unusual case because none of the meds have helped me at all. They only made everything worse. Doing research on fibro I found that almost 75% of patients with fibro have food intolerances, doing more research is what led me to this site, plus with my rhuematoid arthritis, not only...
  16. Hi Moemoe, I had the belly rumbles also and bloody noses when I was a kid. I could be sound asleep and wake up with my nose bleeding, reading a book, watching tv. Didn't matter what I was doing my nose would bleed. Sometimes upwards of 3 to 4 times a day, then it might skip a few days. Always was anemic, no matter how much iron they would give me. It made...
  17. Hi Renoyagamom, First off, my condolonces for your loss. My first pregnancy was horrible, continuously sick 24/7 until 5 1/2 months then went into premature labor. Was in the hospital for 2 weeks, they put me on terbutaline. Sent me home for a month then developed preeclampsia. Son was born 2 months premature. Fast forward 2 years, starting in '85, had...
  18. Check this website out. You'll get a kick out of it i'm sure. www.refundcents.com
  19. Just a possibility but nightshades causes swelling and pain. ie: potatoes, tomatoes, all peppers and eggplant.
  20. I also was dx'd with endo over 20 years ago but was never able to afford the procedures. Since going gluten-free I don't have the pain like I used to. Still there but NOWHERE near as bad. Hopefully in a year or 2 it will be totally gone. Crossing my fingers.
  21. Hi Itsy's dad. If the dogs are eating glutened dogfood, then they are licking themselves and each other which in turn means she is petting them therefore getting it on her hands then eating something and/or sharing kisses with them. And then again it could be a dairy or soy possibility. Just my opinion but I think something worth looking into.
  22. Hi Tena, I went thru the elimination diet. Soy really hits me bad the next day with depression and really really bad irrability plus the jitters. Heaven help everyone when it's that time of the month also. LOL. Dairy does it as well but not quite as bad. I try to avoid alcohol. Alcoholism runs in the family really bad so I don't drink. When I was younger...
  23. Hi Christina98, I was diagnosed 30 years ago when I was 15 with clinical depression and social Anxiety disorder. I took whatever medicine they thought at the time was good for me. Everything from Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Cymbalta, Prestiq. You name it, i've probably tried it at one point or another. When I was in school, I couldn't use the restroom, i would...
  24. I am 45 yrs old. I have had lots of problems since I was 7 or 8. I have had acid reflux maybe atotal of 10 times that I can remember but I can remmeber having what I thought were heart attacks from the age of 17. Everytime i've gone to the er they told me it was either stress or anxiety. Since I have been gluten free for nearly a year haven't had any of...
  25. Hi Coolcat. No, there are overweight people out there to. At my heaviest I was 205. Couldn't lose weight no matter what diet I tried. I have lost 35 lbs so far without even trying. As for being hungry, yes you will be hungry for a while then it will gradually ease up. But try to eat every couple of hours at least. I nibble on something that has a quite of...
