  1. Hi everbody, I thought I would give everyone an update. Been by myself for almost 2 weeks now. Wow, what a difference. Cleaned my truck from top to bottom and and only eating fresh fruits, nuts, veggies, brown rice and meats. Still having a bit of a problem with gluten free products. I guess stil super sensitive. But since I kicked the ole man out i've...
  2. Connie, a lot of people on here have had negative tests but still react to gluten. Sounds to me like you are gluten intolerant. Quit eating gluten or you're going to make yourself really sick.
  3. Hi there, welcome to the forum. I have fibro too. First, you need to toss the Xanax. That is definely glutening you. Replace it with something else pronto. Do you drink a lot of diet drinks? Aspertame is not good for fibro sufferers. Also, are you still using your old pots, pans, and toaster? Might ought to replace those. It was only after I totally eliminated...
  4. I bloat after consuming anything that has dairy and soy in it. Gluten free or not.
  5. Yes Maam, been there, done that. LOL. Except with a diet drink before I realized I had a problem with aspertame too. He was eating a sandwich and I started coughing. I was out of my drink so I reached over and grabbed his without thinking. I started feeling sick within 30 minutes. Bloating, stomach rumbling, the big D later on. He just couldn't believe...
  6. Thanks guys, I feel a real sense of relief knowing that i'll be able to get better now. I don't have to worry about ticking him off or worrying about if what he's doing is hurting me or not. On top of everything else he was a control freak and now I don't have to worry about being told to quit "jacking my jaws" or even if I folded his underwear right. Nit...
  7. Hey everyone, feeling kind of down today. My relationship of 8 years ended yesterday. We got home after 6 weeks on the road and sweetie packed his stuff yesterday and left last night. I have an aunt in the hospital who was just diagnosed with throat and lung cancer. They had to cut part of her esophagus out and she has a feeding tube and on a ventilator...
  8. Same here, Since I was 10. I also have endo. The first 2 days after I start are the worse for me. Dizzy, headaches and very weak. I have to use 2 super absorbent overnites at a time every 2 hours or less. Before I went gluten free. I would stay home from school and sleep for a good three days straight, only got up to use the bathroom, and I hardly had any...
  9. I am gluten free, haven't had official blood tests for Celiac, but I can't wear socks even in the middle of winter. I can be in Minnisota in 10 dgree weather with nothing but my tennys on. Yes, I am wearing clothes. But, I just have a t-shirt and maybe a light windbreaker on. During the summer months is the worst for me. My skin feels like it is burning...
  10. I remember new years day, sweetie and I took my mom out for New years day dinner. Next morning I woke up with a very bad headache and dizzy, Then it progressed into heart palpatations, then my left arm and shoulder stated alternating from hurting to numbness, started having trouble breathing. I thought I was having a heart attack. Finally went to the ER...
  11. Remember you need to be eating gluten for at least 6 weeks or longer for any chance at all for the blood tests to be accurate. If you've been gluten free for a while now, they might not be positive.
  12. Connie, Please keep something close to you at all times. Hypoglycemia left untreated can cause seizures as well as a diabetic like coma. It is not something to fool around with. Make sure you eat something every 2 to 3 hours. DO Not and I will repeat DO NOT skip evening and breakfast meals. (My mother hen attitude coming out here, lol) Even if you don...
  13. Thankfully I was one of those who had no withdrawal symptoms at all. But my sweetie, who has diabetes, spastic colon, is a smoker, also has had 1 heart attack and open heart surgery tried to go gluten free with me. Bad bad gluten withdrawals to the point he finally said to heck with it. He now knows he has a gluten problem but refuses to go gluten free because...
  14. WOW, I LOVE this forum! I have had Vulvodynia for a long, long, uuugghhh, long time. Dr's told me that I would have it for the rest of my life and there were no treatments for it. Now, I know for a fact there is, for me anyway. I have been gluten free for a little over a year now and I started seeing a difference in about 6 months. There is hope! Just keep...
  15. You need to be eating the equivelant of 2 to 3 slices of bread a day for about 2 months or longer for any chance of a positive test.
  16. You need to be eating the equivelant of about 2 to 3 slices of bread for a good 2 to 3 MONTHS for the tests to show positive and even then you still may show negative. That is why for some people it can take up to 10 years or longer to get a diagnosis.
  17. Connie, There are a lot of people on here who have problems with the gluten free chex cereals. Due to sharing product lines. Including me. This may be a possibility for you too. Use the search box for chex cereals and you will get a lot of discussions about them. Hope you get to feeling better.
  18. Hi Bedbug, I have fibro, rheumatoid arthritis as well as battled with clinical depression and high anxiety, not to mention a host of other problems too long to mention. Have had this since I was 8 years old. Dr's kept throwing meds at me that never seemed to work. Did you know that over 75% of patients with fibro have food intolerances? I read that in...
  19. All this time I thought I was the only one. It is such a relief to know i'm not the only one out there.
  20. I get it. It is a small periodical that gives you the latest info from different sources. The articles range from 1 persons point of view to the latest studies from universities, medical doctors, etc. I really like it.
  21. Yes, I get tired of the few foods I eat, but I would rather eat those than something i'm afraid will make me sick. My sweetie gets really irritated with me because I only eat a few select ones and he wants me to eat more and I refuse to. He tells me i'm not eating enough variety in his opinion. I'm at the point I would rather be bored with what I do eat...
  22. I turn into what my sweetie calles a snarly witch bi*ch when I get the least amount of soy. There are times I want to tear my clothes off because my skin is driving me crazy and I don't even like being me those times.
  23. Hi Dermgirl, Welcome to the forum! Yes, you are definetly gluten intollerant. So right now you need to start out with just fresh meats, veggies, brown rice and fruits, nothing processed. I would also suggest no gluten free processed foods either at this time as the body has a hard time adjusting. Even though your tests show that you don't have a problem...
  24. Hi Lissm, First off you have to be eaying gluten for the "OFFICIAL" Celiac test to be positive. You need to be eating gluten equivelant to about 2 pieces of bread for at least 2 months and even then it might not come back positive. Enterolabs will only tell you if you are gluten intolerant and you do not have to be eating gluten for that.
  25. Nut-thins gets me every time and they are SOOO delicious.
