  1. Thanks! I have been using their day moisturizer with 28 spf and the eye cream that comes in a pump. I love that stuff. I think some of the wrinkle defense creams I read have caffeine added? Caffeine is also something I react too. (I can not each chocolate or even decaf coffees or teas.) I have no idea if that would translate to a skin reaction, but I...
  2. I'm not sure, so forgive me if I am wrong, but yes I thought that was the case for maltodextrin and yeast extract as food additives in the US (or they have to label it is from wheat) but in cosmetics, those rules do not apply? Again, I am not sure, but I am cautious when I see those listed in cosmetics or imported foods manufactured overseas.
  3. Do you recall by chance which Garnier face creams do have gluten? I have been using a lot of their products lately, and I don't see anything obviously gluten (wheat proteins, maltodexrin, yeast extract, etc) listed, but sometimes I miss some of the more subtle/chemical sounding ones. Overall, I love their products, and have yet to see one that I recognized...
  4. I agree, you have to have a restaurant that understands gluten issues and has trained it's staff about the dedicated fryer. I remember way back in high school we would fry all sorts of weird food things in the fryer, never thinking about CC. Could not be further from a 16 year-old's mind. Also, I remember in a Mexican restaurant the staff normally fried...
  5. Interesting... as I was reading through this thread, I was thinking "I bet Tyson's feeds the chickens a feed that contains wheat." The problem with that is the "butchering" and processing at these plants can be pretty bad, and if there is wheat in the chicken's stomachs, intestines, excrement, etc., the chance of CC on the actual chicken meat is certainly...
  6. I am very sensitive and I eat Amy's Bistro Burgers all of the time on my salads. That product seems to be just fine for me. I have not tried anything else from Amy's, I try to avoid processed meals, but her Bistro Burgers are my guilty indulgence. I love them.
  7. Do you live near a Whole Foods or Wegmans that carries Against the Grain baguettes? They are usually in the frozen gluten-free food section. They are a great beard for subway style sandwiches. My son loved subway before he went gluten-free and I will make him sub style sandwiches on this bread. Even my gluten eating DH loves this bread.
  8. I just came from Cambridge MA and ate out three times without getting CC. That is saying a lot because I am very sensitive and almost always get CC'ed. I ate at Legal Seafoods (there are many locations in Boston/Cambridge) and twice at the Stone Hearth Pizza in Cambridge Open Original Shared Link they had excellent salads and gluten-free pizza. I highly...
