  1. I'm not an MD, but YES...you need to give up gluten....
  2. My take on this...is that you seem to have a positive test for some sort of gluten sensitivity...it seems like two of your tests seem high. This is a quote from Enterolab... "If my antigliadin antibody levels are only mildly elevated, does that mean I can eat some gluten? This question is more "wishful thinking" resulting from the mind trying to turn a...
  3. Oh sorry did not see it was a "roll out reicpe" whoops But the directions are great...you might just give it a try!
  4. Here ya go...Oh yummy ....I found this online for you and for me...hee hee Open Original Shared Link
  5. I do feel that way when I first get up, it takes a few hours for it to pass, after I have had something to eat. I never experienced it before going gluten free...for me it is related to the withdrawal of gluten. I plan on riding the wave with my gluten-free diet. I have had too many people with horrible diseases due to Celiac, to take my gluten sensitivity...
  6. "I digest gluten free foods so much easier compared to a BMT from subway on whole grain....." Oh my goodness can I relate to that! It seems like I can eat alot of food and not really feel that full.. I am so more aware of my hunger cycles...than I was when I was eating gluten...
  7. Hi There ... I have been gluten free now for about 3 weeks. The first 1 1/2 was great! My constipation had cleared up and I was feeling great. Then the "hungries" set in! It seems as though I am starving...I want to eat everything in sight. I feel shaky and weak especially in the morning when I have gone several hours without food... The weak and shaky...
  8. Just wondering if there are support groups in the Bangor ME area.... Also, wondering if support groups accept those with Gluten sensitivity only or who have not been formally diagnosed by the "Gold Standard" route. Thanks
  9. I can so relate...I know that this is an old thread but I am going to BUMP it. I feel it is SO important to those who go gluten free to perhaps expect. I had not idea of the power of gluten. I am 55 years old and I am just BLOWN AWAY at both the positive and negative reaction I have had with a simple change in diet. Along with withdrawal, there seems to...
  10. Well I have really paid attention to my withdrawal symptoms and they seem to be the most acute in the morning, after many hours without food. The first thing I want to do is EAT in the morning and FAST.... Perhaps, I am thinking to keep some juice by my bedside to scarf down upon arising and have a late night snack. It seems that I cannot go without food...
  11. I noticed on the forum that Activia was not gluten-free? Just what is it in Activia that was noted as not gluten-free? Was it in the flavoring? Weird...that nasty gluten hides in everything!
  12. I just found out that Activia has Gluten...I had been eating that for about a week... Well I am just switching yogurts and see if that helps... Geeezzz that Gluten is a sneaky little devil...hiding in all sorts of sneaky little places...
  13. Been gluten free for a few weeks...going through withdrawal...that just shows me how much I needed to purge gluten from my body! For the first week I was just so happy, I was on a sort of high...like wow, this is really the answer to my problem The second week, I was in a frenzy trying to figure this diet out, trying recipes like a mad woman Then withdrawal...
  14. Yeah I can relate...I feel the most jittery when I wake up in the morning before I eat....It is like I am totally starving for food!
  15. I really don't know the answer to that but my daughter when she was small used to pass bowel movements like that... We were perplexed, but her Pediatrician never seemed concerned. Now my sister her Aunt was diagnosed with Celiac and I have gone Gluten Free due to symptoms of chronic constipation... I have ordered testing from Enterolabs, after testing...
  16. Yup they do! I froze mine in little sandwich bags...This way I wouldn't pig out on them!
  17. Wow this was amazing... Irish Soda Bread Vegetable shortening for pan White Rice Flour for pan Dry Ingredients.... 3 1/2 cups white rice flour 1/2 cup sweet rice flour 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/4 cup potato starch (not potato flour) 5 teaspoons baking powder (Gluten Free) 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon xanthan...
  18. Perhaps it was an older box. The new boxes are labeled as gluten free. I went to the website and I can see nothing listed as containing Wheat Barley or Rye. I am thinking might have been glutened by hubby's toast crumbs. I forgot I had toast with my cereal and that was before I knew about having your own toaster? Ya live and learn...
  19. Thank GOD that I can still eat some chocolate! LOL YUM YUM .....
  20. Yeah I can relate...I had a waiter say to me, don't worry there is only a little wheat in that entree...that little bit shouldn't bother you... Grrrrr....they don't get it....

  24. Count me in this group too! I had negative bloodwork...and went gluten-free before the endoscope... Didn't bother...I did order enterolab gene and stool complete...should come in a few days.. I have had positive results going gluten-free, I have been gluten-free for two weeks now!
  25. When I went gluten-free about 2 weeks ago..I noticed immediate positive results. Constipation GONE...Bloating and gas GONE... But I have noticed I feel HUNGRY!...I somehow need to eat more than I did when I was on Gluten...Sometimes it feels like I don't eat enough... I feel hungry sooner than I used to when I was on Gluten What is going on?
