  1. I totally understand how you are feeling. I have been gluten-free for 9 months now and I have went from 110 pounds to 126 pounds and I do work out atleast 3 times a week. I never had a problem before I was diagnosed and although I am starting to feel better inside I feel horrible on the outside. I hate the way I look and always feel like a whale and it depresses...

    ARCHIVED Upset

Thank you all for the advice. I will bring in some gluten-free goodies and share maybe that will soften them up. I usually am very prepared with making sure I have snacks or when they order food in I make something special for myself so I feel ok about it. Yesterday's upsetting event was because they planned this and didn't even ask me about it or I would...

    ARCHIVED Upset

Ok so I thought I was coping with being left out of office treats. I have been doing so well when they bring in lunch for the whole office and I sit eating my own safe food or when the cookies and donuts come in I have made sure I have a gluten-free snack. But for some reason today when DairyQueen Blizzards were bought for everyone in the office but me, I...

    ARCHIVED Vemma

Wow still alot for me to learn here. Thanks for all the info. I did find the number and call them. The kids Next is gluten free but the vemma has not been offically labeled gluten free as of yet so they can not say it is until it has been certified. I did get to speak to the gal that has celiac and is taking this product and she said it is working for...

I was wondering if anyone has tried this 2 oz. vitamin drink and if so has it helped at all with feeling better or having more energy. I am asking because there is this lady who said she was a celiac and she swears by this stuff, she said she never bloats anymore is not tired and has loads of energy. She is claiming it helps heal our weak immune system...

  10. Was wondering if anyone knew if these ingredients were gluten-free???? Water, Dried Red Chilies, Salt, Cottonseed Oil, Garlic Powder, Spice, Furmaric Acid, Olive Oil. Its the Las Palmas Red Chili Sauce??? It all looked safe but now I dont feel so well and wasn't sure if it was this or maybe my kitchen wash rags............ Help Anyone..
  11. I have done alot of reading on here about the weight issues, wether it is gain or loss, it has helped me understand alot but I am still finding it emotionally hard. I have never had a problem like most of you on losing weight until now and the weight gain so depresses me. I will say that getting on here to read everyone's posts it helps me out alot and I...
  12. I have to say this was so amazing and helpful. This was our first Celiac Event since I have been diagnosed and it was so helpful, friendly and felt so very normal. 13. Thanks for helping me with this everyone...I will change those things right away.
  14. Have no idea if Crest had gluten in it or not. When I was told in December that I have Celiac Disease I found this site and read alot so I changed my toothpaste to Colgate as suggested.....was just wondering about the make up as I do not have any skin issues and wasn't sure if still using my same lip stuff was something I should be concerned about. There...
  15. I was wondering if I do not have the skin disease do I need to change my make up to gluten-free make up? I have changed my hand lotion and tooth paste and yet I am still using the same stuff on my lips and the same foundation ect.....should I be concerned???
  16. Thanks for the advice and I am learning to be much more careful now. I do my cooking first in my pans before my husband cooks for him and the kids. I haven't been to whole foods yet..gonna go there for sure to get that book! Thanks again
  17. For me when I get glutened my stomach will start to rumble about an hour after and then I know. I bloat and my feet and hands swell and I also make more bathroom trips for about aweek sometimes 2 weeks and I do get the headaches and become more irritable. I am like you, mine are getting worse the longer I am gluten free. Been cross contaminated twice...
  18. Ok that also was something I needed to know. Thanks!
  19. Oh sorry....the brand isn't Organic, I don't remember the brand. We were just looking at the soups that were labeled organic and found a few that looked ok. The only thing I was questioning is if it just says made from organic vegetable flavoring if there was something hidden in that. All the other ingredience is good. I just remember reading on here that...
  20. I also find myself getting very angry and depressed. I have been gluten free for 3 months now but I am very emotional. I get so upset when I see that no one is cleaning up after themselves knowing what it could do to me. I feel like I have become a nag. I was wondering if anyone has been put on medication to help control their emotions. I am thinking I...
  21. Was wondering if anyone knows if Organic Soup is safe or not. My husband and I have been reading the labels of the soups but it really only says that the flavoring is organic. We have found a couple that look gluten free but wasn't sure if there were any hidden ingredients under Organic.
  22. Last night I made some gluten free noodles (which I didn't care for, tasted very weird) and I put gluten free alfredo sauce on it. I made my stuff in there own pots but I was also cooking spagetti for my kids at the same time with their sauce cooking as well...their sauce popped some and got on the stove but I couldn't tell if it did get into my food so I...
  23. Don't know of any bread myself yet, we are thinking of learning to make our own. I was shocked to find out that I had celiac disease because I was only having left side pain really bad for the past 6 months not stomach pain but my family thinks that I am so use to how I feel that I dont know the difference and I will once I get better. Good luck with...

    New Years

Ok we have decided to stay home for New Years which I am glad about. Christmas Eve turned out to be horrible! I know its mostly me and my emotions but I felt that no one but my mom and hubby cared at all. They all just snacked and said how yummy it all was and there I sat, my first xmas, watching them all enjoy themselves. I did bring my own piece of...
