    If your mother isn't around you a lot, I think it can be easy to genuinely forget. Dealing with it day in and day out makes it seem strange to at all be able to forget but, hey, my mother-in-law still can't remember my 9 year old son hates mushrooms and has all his life.

    Starbucks has changed the formulation of their light frap mix and it now contains gluten. They seem to have taken the stance that they have no legal reason to notify anyone of this change and won't. here's a blog with more information Open Original Shared Link

    Not asking me but I want to mention that my eight year old son is a LOT more gluten aware than most adults or kids.     MSG has no direct effect on celiac as far as I have been able to find out. The Glutamate in MSG is derived from sugar beet skins and not glutin or gliatin. That said, I avoid MSG like the plague because it triggers migraines in my particular case.

    It may not be the milk at all. Rice Chex is a common source of cross-contamination for me. I'd be more tempted to test your theory by just drinking 4 oz of straight milk and seeing what happens with just that. It removes any possible cross-contamination issues and any other variables.     This doesn't strike me as correct given your patient's rights. Check out the HIPAA Consumers Page (Open Original Shared Link). If your doctor ordered the tests, you may be able to get the detailed results from them as well. These test details are a part of your children's health records and you are entitled to a copy of them as their guardian. - Maura
