    Okay, here you are: There is no official editorial stance regarding improved labeling laws in the United States. This not an advocacy board with a political agenda. The board is to educate and inform. Our sole agenda is celiac disease awareness. Each individual moderator, like every other board member, may have and may express a personal opinion.

    A minority of people with celiac disease react to pure oats the same way they react to wheat and other gluten. You may be one of them. (I don't know if I am--I haven't tried oats since my dx.)

    I don't know why they would sell "apple cider flavored" vinegar when most vinegar is, in fact, made from cider, and products labeled "cider vinegar" are easy to find.

    It is. But nevertheless, I am not aware of a ketchup in Canada or the US that currently contains gluten. Once upon a time, Heinz Organic Ketchup contained malt vinegar (barley). It contains a different, gluten-free, vinegar today.

    No injectable medication is going to contain gluten. Gluten acts as a thickener and would just tend to clog the needle. Oral medications occasionally contain wheat starch. Injectable ones are definitely gluten-free.

    Under the guidelines from Health Canada, a "may contain" for wheat is not appropriate. "May contain" refers, as Jestgar suggests, possible contamination within the manufacturing factility. Open Original Shared Link
