  1. My lab uses <19 as normal. I know labs can vary but from what I've read from others on here for the TTG IGA that seems to be pretty typical. 0-19 is normal, 20-30 lowly positive, >30 very positive (at least that's what my Dr. told me)
  2. My doctor called later this afternoon & said she's very happy with these results so far & that Im doing good with it. She said normally within 5-6 months, the ttg should be closer to the normal range. Thanks everyone for the encouragement! Knowing that it has dropped by 103 already makes the hassle worth it!
  3. Hi All!! So to reiterate my story quickly, I was diagnosed with Celiac disease in April. In March I had a ttg level of 168. I've been completely gluten-free since 4/28 (biopsy date) (that I know of!!!). My doctor wanted to check some vitamin levels last week and so she said while we're at it we might as well check your ttg-iga level. I protested because...
  4. I'm going to say that the general consensus on here is that gluten symptoms vary from person to person. There is a no definite timeline. HOWEVER a VERY important point for you to know... Since you noted that your daughter is going to the doctor later this month and you have already taken her off gluten. It is VERY important that someone being tested for...
  5. I get my UDI's loaves at Whole Foods and it's on the shelf, not frozen! And I leave mine right on the counter...the loaf has been there over a week before and nothing has happened to it, tastes good still!
  6. Awesome! Can't wait to try it! Thanks so much!
  7. So would it be totally wrong for me to ask if you ...might...post... that biscuit recipe???!!!! Is that allowed? I made some biscuits today actually and they are partly made from that garbanzo flour and they weren't as yummy as I would've liked them to be. Kinda disappointing. Would like to know there are real tasting gluten-free biscuits out there!
  8. No it wasn't doing it before... just the past week or so. An incredibly uncomfortable feeling that I want to go away!! I thought I would ask around on here for ideas... but of course it could be from a number of things so who knows what to do! So far I've gotten possibly too many carbs, glutening, soy intolerance, inflammation, so frustrating. I felt okay...
  9. I just recently had my EGD and the dr told me that my esophagus and stomach both looked completely normal, with no problems... No... I don't know anything about gastritis, do you think this inflammation from gastritis would've been seen during the EGD? They apparently inspected my esophagus and stomach before getting to my intestines because the report says...
  10. I really hope it's not from a glutening b/c I think I'm not consuming any! I would have no idea where it was coming from. Let's just hope it's my body adjusting/healing. Maybe I'll just have to wait it out and see if it gets better.
  11. I guess I'll have to start paying more attention to the portion percentages of my meals b/c I'm really not sure! I don't feel like I eat a lot of junk... I tend to eat some meat, a lot of fruit, veggies, yogurt, some rice, some potatoes, I have a bought a couple gluten-free replacement products, like Glutino pretzel sticks and their Vanilla Creme cookies...
  12. So today makes 3 weeks gluten-free for me. I felt like I was doing fine with the gluten-free diet. I seem to have an okay handle on it and have so far had no *knock on wood* desperate cravings for any of the old food and that I know of, I have not consumed any gluten. It really doesn't bother me to not be able to eat that old stuff... HOWEVER, for the past...
  13. Try myglutenfacts.com. It's free & they update every 90 days. The Cecelias market Grocery Guide book is also helpful as well. You can also type a specific product into Google then comma gluten free, a lot of times I've been able to find my answer quickly that way.
  14. I find it hard deciphering the body product ingredients and am in need of lots of help if anyone is willing to take pity on me!!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Anyone see anything meaning gluten? Here are the ingredients for the product you requested - I'm in the Mood from Scrub: Water (Aqua, Eau), Polyethylene, Ammonium Lauryl...
  15. For all you that are pros at ingredient reading... Does anyone see any gluten issues with any of the following ingredients?: Ingredients: Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Boron Nitride, Silica, Dimethicone, Polyethylene, Pumice, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba, Cera Carnauba, Cire de carnauba) Wax, Kaolin, Dimethiconol, Phenoxyethanol...
  16. Just an FYI for everyone... I've been reading a lot of these products posts and I haven't seen any posts about "Organix" shampoos and conditioners. For anyone looking for gluten-free shampoos and conditioners, their entire line (all scents) are gluten-free! I received the following email from the company today (5-6-10): Dear Kim, Thank you so much...
  17. Nevermind, I answered my own question! For anyone that is interested... I found out from the Neosporin company on 5-5-10 that it IS gluten-free! Good thing b/c I use it constantly! After receiving no email response, I called the company, was on hold for 15 minutes, but I did get my answer. Just an FYI for anyone who might use it as well. And if you don't...
  18. Lisa, Does this include drinks as well? For example, teas?
  19. Does anyone know for sure if Neosporin Lip Health is gluten-free? I am having trouble finding out.
  20. Hmmm... So I'm new at this, this seems to mean they ARE gluten-free, but she won't actually say it?
  21. Thank you for your responses!! Patti, Are ALL the products on that site gluten-free??!!!
  22. Due to a very highly positive blood test in March & a positive biopsy last week, I (believe) I have done a pretty good job at getting rid of everything with gluten and replacing everything including food, dishes, body products. However, I need some help with make-up suggestions please! I see a lot of people on here talking about buying make-up online...
  23. I have similar issues as well! I used to have tiny indentations scattered all throughout my nails. Currently I also have the horizontal raised bump all the way across my nail. Sometimes they grow out & don't come back for awhile, but then sometimes they do come back. I have never seen the horizontal line bumps on anyone else. It was strange when it first...
